I dread to guess what he weighs herearreola probably hits close to 3 bills when he really balloons. he might get heavier. i checked his boxrec just to go back over his weights, and they're not posted. i think there's something wrong with the boxrec.
i done seen some pretty chubby journeyman HW at the club fights, doe.

Arreola doesn't look like that these days, he's lost considerable weight. But I agree that Solis is a disgrace.Comment

He's still pretty bad though, honestly he should be coming into the ring at 220 or less, he was a light heavyweight as an amateur, look
So he's 178 there, you could understand him filling out a bit, maybe 20lbs or so but not bloody 70lbsComment

He's a 20 yr kid in that vid. Looks almost underweight. I was much lighter 20 yrs than I'm now, some extra weight comes with age. I agree he should be fighting ideally not higher than 225-230, but Arreola probably wants to fight around 240 to maintain his power. It's heavyweight, being heavy can be an advantage and not everybody has the natural physique of Wlad or David Haye. Chris doesn't have the genes to look like an Adonis.Comment

He was drinking beer during one of his camps. He doesnt have to look like an adonis but he shouldn't have fat hanging off of him. It is all about what you put in your body. Unless something is genetically wrong with certain fighters I can see that but we see so many HW fighters that are out of shape. Its easier to eat crap after you work out then sitting down and eatting chicken, steak, fruit and vegetables all the time. He's a 20 yr kid in that vid. Looks almost underweight. He was a kid then, you can't make the same comparison. I work out very hard and I don't look anything like when I was fighting amateur.
Arreola admitted he is lazy but Juan Diaz trains very hard. The reason he is fatty is because of GENETICS.
People don't want to understand or admit that they play a big part but they do. Diaz will never look sculpted, it's just not in him. He trains as hard as anyone in the game but his body type (and there are body types) is one that is fatty.Comment

I completely agree!!! Professional athletes carrying a lot of body fat is unacceptable.Guys like Solis, Guys like Arreola
And I mean you guys PRAISE them for getting down to like 18% bodyfat wtf!!!
There are guys out there working 8,9,10 hour days in some ****ty job, that get up at 6 in the morning to go to gym, before going to work to pay the ****ing rent.
And you got these guys, these boxers they don't have a day job, I mean what do they DO all day if they aren't working out? Sit on the couch and eat, and watch daytime tv?
I mean there is no excuse for a pro athlete who only competes 3 times a year to look like this

No excuse whatsoever, to come into the ring looking like that, I do not understand it one bit. It is a lack of effort, it is laziness, it is wasting your talent and it is disrespectful to the sport, and to the fans who pay tickets and only ask that you do your best.
Unacceptable.
They obviously just have teribble diets.
Imagine the body you or I could have if you didnt have to work a regular job and worked out on average 5-7 hours a day 6 days a week.Comment
