One thing I can't abide is FAT boxers

Guys like Solis, Guys like Arreola

And I mean you guys PRAISE them for getting down to like 18% bodyfat wtf!!!

There are guys out there working 8,9,10 hour days in some ****ty job, that get up at 6 in the morning to go to gym, before going to work to pay the ****ing rent.

And you got these guys, these boxers they don't have a day job, I mean what do they DO all day if they aren't working out? Sit on the couch and eat, and watch daytime tv?

I mean there is no excuse for a pro athlete who only competes 3 times a year to look like this

No excuse whatsoever, to come into the ring looking like that, I do not understand it one bit. It is a lack of effort, it is laziness, it is wasting your talent and it is disrespectful to the sport, and to the fans who pay tickets and only ask that you do your best.

    Unacceptable.

I never understood how Juan Diaz looked fat especially at lightweight granted he was no arreola, you'd just think he would lose some of that pudge training and maybe get down to another weight class.

It's ludicrous. How fat do these guys get before training camp? How do you not put more effort into being in the best shape possible when you are participating in such a dangerous sport? They look worse than a journeyman pulled from his normal job two weeks before a fight, and they're supposed to be world class fighters.

That seemed to just be his body type. Juan Diaz certainly didn't look to be in bad shape in the ring.

          This!

There is this guy in the uk I can't think of his name but he's lik 3-97 or some **** and he works as a bricklayer, he was getting interviewed by steve bunce and he said sometimes he only gets 24 hours notice to come in as a replacement and has to ask his boss if he can go home early to get ready.

And he comes in with a six pack!

arreola probably hits close to 3 bills when he really balloons. he might get heavier. i checked his boxrec just to go back over his weights, and they're not posted. i think there's something wrong with the boxrec.

i done seen some pretty chubby journeyman HW at the club fights, doe.

                laziness and a horrible diet.

junk food and drink, and lots of it.

they probably both drink, looking at them. arreola is a well documented drinker.

I understand boxers not all coming in like Haye or tim Bradley, but the least they could do is look athletic and lean. Joe Calzaghe was a good example, not rippling full of muscle, but lean and little body fat at least

Not training hard, and eating as much as they did when they were training hard is a problem for a lot of guys.
