No version of a tested Duran can beat a tested Mayweather

I think floyd wins the first 3 rounds. Then Duran starts catching up to him and hurting him. I dont see floyd making it past 9 rounds.

            Dejesus didn't beat Cervantes.

And his win over Duran is better than anything Mayweather did. As is Ruben Carter's win over Emile Griffith. Both don't mean anything in regards to who the better or greater fighter is.

Do you actually genuinely believe that Estaban Dejesus accomplished more in his career than Floyd Mayweather? Or are you just saying it?

Dejesus was a good fighter and possibly an ATG Lightweight but he is not even in Mayweather's league.

Floyd would probably lose a fairly competitive fight. People either way under estimate or over estimate Floyd its crazy.

I also find it hilarious that whenever Floyd vs some past great is discussed, there so many morons who swarm in saying he'll get stopped, get ktfo, get annihilated etc..

Your talking about a guy thats had 40+ pro fights most of them at the top level, and hes seldom ever been badly hurt or close to getting stopped. Granted hes never fought a guy like Duran, but still, always just picking a stoppage loss as the first conclusion when your talking about a guy who has a water tight defence and a solid chin is just silly.

Plus Duran was never really a huge puncher above 135. Could still knock you out sure, but his danger was more in his relentlessness combined with good skills, he would break you down and wear you out, not just drop bombs.

                  Damnit... beat me to it.

People need to stop matching up Mayweather in fantasy fights. He carries his real life record into fantasy fights, undefeated. Haters gonna hate.

The gap between DeJesus and Mayweather really is not as big as you are making it out too be, resume and skill wise Mayweather is greater but you are not giving DeJesus enough credit, he was a beast, great footwork, great offensive arsenal / great combination puncher, defense wasn't too shabby, great sense of distance, good chin and knew how to tie up when he was in danger, all the makings of a great.
I agree with you, Mayweather has achieved more, but don't sleep on DeJesus, he wasn't exactly a slouch and comparing him too Ruben Carter is silly, DeJesus had a respectable career, Carter just beat a Griffith who was known for being inconsistent in his performances and did naught else, that's just a little different from beating a Prime Duran and giving him 3 incredible, tough fights and going on too still have a pretty good career.

I think style per style Floyd Jr. is the most technical fighter and the best ever. Just style per style. His style is just too adaptable to any kind of style. I believe Floyd's style would beat leonard's and duran's styles if we put them in a world where they all have equal power, speed, heart, boxing iq and any other physical attributes. Ofcourse in the real world they all differ in every aspect and there's a lot of things to consider, thats why it would be hard to pick who would win against who.

with all that said, i would still favor the duran that beat leonard over floyd.. he was just a beast that night and floyd wouldnt have the power at ww to bother duran.. tough fight for both but I can see duran having the advantage inside.
