I've always believed Leonard would beat Mayweather by a few rounds (maybe 2 or 3). I know triangle theories are often deceptive. Nevertheless, I would say Duran would beat Mayweather by the same margin.

Truth be told, there isn't many I'd pick that night.

I don't see Mayweather getting stopped though.
He beat who most consider the second best welterweight ever that night. Obviously that's something that would take a truly remarkable fighter fighting the best they can to beat or some horrific style matchup like Hearns in order to beat.

Today 2 posters taught me that Esteban DeJesus is/was better than Floyd Mayweather Jr.

          Unreal.

Oh Dunn....what have you done, you are going to be sniffing floyd's bum until the day you die.

            Gotta laugh at this one.

He was simply a much better fighter...I know that hurts, but the boxing world and pretty much anyone that doesnt have their tongue planted in floyd's arse disagrees with you and the rest of the fluffkins.

Every time I see threads about the Durans, Hearns, Haglers and SRLs and then I read Floyd's name ..... all I see is "one of these names has a very weak resume and was not even willing to fight the best of his own era let alone past greats and his name is Floyd"

One look at who he would have to face and Floyd would have retired or move down a division!!!

Well you are only as good as who you beat, and DeJesus beat Duran & Cervantes, how does Floyd top that?

Yeah this. Floyds chances against duran are really good. They are pretty bad against leonard and extremely bad against hearns. Its just the styles.

But he wins against Duran by a SD maybe, depending on which version of Floyd we are talking about.

Granted, Duran has a 100 time better resume than Floyd.
I agree with this. I do think that Hagler is a toss up. Whomever gets up and eats the better breakfast that day, got it the night before, That would be a hell of a fight. I see it going something like the first Castillo fight.

We know that stylistically a good jab is a problem for Floyd so Hearns? I would say had a pretty good jab! haha.

Leonard was just better...he had the polish of Floyd and the athletascism of a fighter like Jones, Sweat Pea, etc. Both guys are smart but Leanard had more weapons. If he wasn't exactly as good on D as Floyd well, a great offense becomes a decent defense....Judah hit Floyd with speed and Leanard had that type of speed....he would catch Floyd with it.

Problem Duran has is size. Mayweather is stronger than most people think. We damn well know Mayweather would not slug it out and he could neutralize a lot of Duran's attack by more or less fighting like Leanard did the second time.
