If Trout wins, I would like him to fight Lara before he moves up. Those fighters at 160 would be very tough on him but I wouldn't count him out. Can he establish his jab against those fighters? Does he have the power to keep them honest?
Austin Trout talks options if he beats Canelo; Mayweather, move to 160.

I think that's a big factor.
I can't imagine Chavez for example having any respect at all for Trout's power. I mean, Trout does have decent pop, but at 160? Perhaps not.
I think he could give Martinez some issues but I'd still expect Martinez to win that fight.
How about Trout-Macklin? That would be a good fight to see where's he's at at 160.Comment

Dont give me none of that shlt bro.Muthfckers said he would whoop
canelo and make easy money. Now he should stay away from trout
cause hes to big?Yet mostly everyone says canelo bigger then trout.
Yall floyd fans contradict urselfs alot.Comment

Who said canelo is bigger than trout? If ur gonna say outrageous **** u better have quotes. And not some idiot alt either. I don't know anyone that thinks canelo is bigger than trout. Trout is a huge jmw. Last time I can remember a jmw as big is probably mccullumComment

His best chance is GGG but Im not too sure about it. If Trout can take him deep he can win. But can he with GGG's body attack?Comment
-
Mostly everyone? I have not seen one person say that.
They are at the very least the same size.
But Trout looks the bigger of the two to me.Comment

dont put me in that catagory. 1st of all Trout is bigger. 2nd, I was speaking of both of them. I feel the same way about them both.
Its everyone else who contradicts themselves. They like to have it both ways so if Floyd wins its nothing. If you look at the Canelo-Trout face to face, its night & day with Floyd. They are much bigger. Again, if he fights them then great but I dont think he has to fight them.
Its the same about everything. Everyone thinks Floyd-Ghost is a joke yet if Ghost fights anyone else from 135-147 its a great fight. There isnt one person from WW on down that Floyd can fight right now without getting ripped yet nearly any other fight at 140-147 are great fights no matter who the matchup is.
He's being penalyzed for being too good. He only comes into the ring at 150 yet isnt allowed to fight anyone at 140-147. He has to fight these huge guys that are an inch away from the MW division or he's a coward. Meanwhile everyone is ok with those same guys not even going up 1 divison let alone 5Comment

Why do you need to make excuses for Floyd? Are you afraid he'll lose or that people will say he's ducking Trout?so he has to fight huge guys in his 5th division that look 2 or 3 divisions bigger than him, while have 15 pounds on him in the ring atleast, and even more than that naturally but Trout cant move up just 1 division where he probably should be anyways because those guys are too big and would beat him?
People's logic when it comes to Floyd is so backwards. If he fights them then great but dont tell me that he has to fight them when he comes into the ring at 150 pounds. He's had 2 fights at 154, both against guys who came from lower weights, and both of those fights are the one's people have said he's looked the worst at in recent memory but he has to fight them there or he's garbage?
Floyd is the #1 ranked JMW (I disagree) by the RING and currently holds the WBA title. No one should hold a title in any division and be unwilling to defend it against the best opposition in the said division; by claiming a title, fighters are making a claim to being the "World Champion" in the division or at least that's what's inscribed on the belt.
Personally, I think it would be a great fight and an intriguing style match-up; quite possibly the best fight that can be made right now. If Trout beats Canelo, then he deserves a Floyd fight and the ball would be on Floyd's court.Comment

trout loses to martinez and golovkin.but he beats chavez jrhttp://www.***************.net/news/...cy-at-160.html
Thought I'd share this interview from today.
It's interesting because in an earlier thread Trouts options were being discussed if he were to beat Canelo.
Most seem to think Trout-Mayweather is a highly unlikely option. I consider it to be unlikely also.
It was being said that Trout, were he to beat Canelo, would have no where to go coming off such a huge win.
Why not a move to 160? Trout is a huge Jr MW. He's one of the biggest Jr MW's I've ever seen. People seem to forget that he actually missed the weight against Cotto. He had to weigh in again and strip naked to make the weight.
How many fights does Trout realistically have left at 154? I don't see too many more.
How does he fair with Martinez? Chavez? Golovkin?Comment
