Austin Trout talks options if he beats Canelo; Mayweather, move to 160.

    http://www.***************.net/news/...cy-at-160.html

Thought I'd share this interview from today.

It's interesting because in an earlier thread Trouts options were being discussed if he were to beat Canelo.

Most seem to think Trout-Mayweather is a highly unlikely option. I consider it to be unlikely also.

It was being said that Trout, were he to beat Canelo, would have no where to go coming off such a huge win.

Why not a move to 160? Trout is a huge Jr MW. He's one of the biggest Jr MW's I've ever seen. People seem to forget that he actually missed the weight against Cotto. He had to weigh in again and strip naked to make the weight.

How many fights does Trout realistically have left at 154? I don't see too many more.

How does he fair with Martinez? Chavez? Golovkin?

I agree with this. He's better off trying to secure a fight with Floyd if he beats Canelo. If Canelo beats Trout he's supposedly going to get the Floyd fight, so if Trout ruins those plans why shouldn't he?

The guy has a shaky chin. Has been dropped in the amateurs. All 3 of those guys KO him. He can counter Chavez but he's nowhere near as fast as Martinez or as mobile. Chavez on sheer size and pressure beat him. And Golovkin can cut the ring off.

so he has to fight huge guys in his 5th division that look 2 or 3 divisions bigger than him, while have 15 pounds on him in the ring atleast, and even more than that naturally but Trout cant move up just 1 division where he probably should be anyways because those guys are too big and would beat him?

People's logic when it comes to Floyd is so backwards. If he fights them then great but dont tell me that he has to fight them when he comes into the ring at 150 pounds. He's had 2 fights at 154, both against guys who came from lower weights, and both of those fights are the one's people have said he's looked the worst at in recent memory but he has to fight them there or he's garbage?

                    Trout's a decent fighter but i agree with 1punchkopow.

Martinez puts on a clinic, Chavez wears em down with his pressure and power, and Golovkin? will we all know he's the God of War! lol
