If you are talking about the odds in the minds of the posters on boxing scene then you have your poll result. If you are talking about the official Las Vegas betting odds then there is no need for a poll. The current odds are a matter of record and Canelo is the favorite by almost 3 to 1. Trout is +200 meaning if you bet $100 on Trout and he wins you win $200. Canelo is -278 meaning if you bet $278 on Canelo and he wins you win $100. So for those of you that think Trout will win if you get your bets down and you're right you can double your money. I will wait till near fight time to see if the odds get closer but I will be betting $500 on Canelo as I have in all his recent fights except the Lopez fight when he was a 20 to 1 favorite.

that makes no sense. plenty places love boxing and dirty shit still goes down there. Texas is known for crookery in boxing, besides.

Trout doesn't have the clout to knock him out and the promotional forces behind Canelo are too much for even Haymon's clout to topple (assuming Al would even want to impose his influence here, given the prospect of his main guy facing Canelo in a bigger bucks fight). Canelo will get the nod, whatever Trout does.

          on topic:

Canelo should be the underdog, but this is the wacky world of boxing hypejobs so he'll be favoured to win.

those betting on Canelo won't lose their money. he'll get a decision. probably an undeserved one.

So, what you and everyone is saying Floyd, and even Trout have got a better resume than Canelo?

Well, Pac had a better resume than Floyd, and has fought better people, but Floyd was favourite against Pac. Just cos Pac has a better resume dont mean to say Floyd dont deserve to fight Pac.

Canelo has obviously made a name for himself cos he has looked pretty good beating who he has beat. The people who he beat speak highly of him as well.

He should be the underdog as Trout is the champ and Canelo hasn't fought too many JMW's so far. I think he has a good chance to win though and would not be surprised if a lot of money is put on him to win forcing the odds in his favor.

People here need to be consistent. They can't have it both ways. If they've been saying Canelo is a hypejob and Trout is the real deal, then Trout should be favored to win.

The poll shows they want their cakes and eat it.

                  He's absolutely not the underdog.
                  He's actually a substantial favorite.
