i think its a pick em fight, "unofficially" speaking. neither guy has fought a legit and prime 54 pounder. i think if it goes to the cards, canelo gets the decision regardless. i wouldnt be surprised if canelo stopped him though. even fight but canelo should be the favorite as far as betting and winning the money goes.

trout is superior to every single one of canelos opponents in almost every single way, thats a good reason why canelo might lose this one. its the first time hes boxing someone as big as himself, whos got the skill level to potentially neutralize his power and is young and hungry on top of that.

that said trout is facing a whole lot of problems in canelo he never seen before too, thats why its such a great fight. idk why but it seems damn near everyone is refusing to recognize what either trout or canelo brings to the table. hardly anyone gives both their just due.
And the first time he gets hit by a REAL JMW.

The general consensus is that Canelo hasnt fought anyone. The people who say this usually dont want Floyd to fight him, so use that excuse.

But has Trout fought that more people or someething, as far as i was aware he only fougth Cotto?

But it will be a competive fight, who is the favourite isnt that important, but it wouuld be interesting to see.

Cotto and Rodriguez outdo anyone Canelo has fought. Whether you like it or not.

A lot of money would be on Canelo which automatically makes him the favourite at those betting shops.

Trout's gonna have to KO Canelo if he wants to beat him, no ****ing way in hell does he win a decision.

In reality it's a 50/50 fight, both men have their strengths and weaknesses, but Canelo will be the favorite with bookies and fans because of name recognition and fanbase. Just like Cotto was the favorite against Trout for the same reason. Only difference is Cotto has faced real opposition and this is Canelo's first relevant fight.

Canelo has done absolutely schit in his weight class so I have no real way of evaluating how he'd fair against one of the top JMW's. Trout is good, but let's be honest, he's not the best available JMW. I still think Kirk, Lara, Vanes and as much as I hate his style, Molina are still in the mix as well.

Anyway, back to the point. Point is, I don't know if Canelo is good or bad because he hasn't fought any good measuring sticks. Couple that with he's going up against a Top 5 JMW that I wouldn't completely consider the best as of yet, and you got me kind of split down the middle... It's one of those fights where I'll know who'll win after the first 2 rounds.

But to make an accurate prediction before the fight, I can't because I simply don't know how Canelo fights against someone his own size/skill level.
While I agree with you on your assesment of Canelo BG27 mah homie. I dont agree with your assesment of Trout. I think he is the best JMW that Canelo could face right now in terms of a well rounded fighter who can adjust mid stanza to what is facing him without much aid from his corner. Lara while very good has more to learn of the professional fight game. James is up and down(far better with Anne in his corner IMHO), Vanes is not as good as made out to be(see Kassim fight), and Molina is down right dirty, and a one trick pony.

Austin is the best fighter as of this point and time that Canelo could take on to show that he warrants the belt he totes.
