thats whats up for them but who was hopkins?even now bernard is mainly considered a great fighter because he is still fighting not because he is beating the best. not so long ago alot of people felt like bernard fought smaller fighters and fighters he knew he could beat

Hopkins is beating the best right now.

Pavlik, Pascal, Cloud were some of the best fighters when he fought them. Cloud was the 4th-5th best LHW and that was the only available fight for him at the moment. Pascal was The Ring champion, which is the absolute best ranking you can have in a weight class. Pavlik was The Ring MW champion who wanted to come up regardless to fight Calzaghe, but Calzaghe ducked him. Not to mention Hopkins was underdog against all 3 of these guys.

Baldomir was the RING champ when Floyd beat him though, and you discredited him. Really what has Pascal done besides beat Dawson and Diaconu??? Equally, Baldomir never did much aside from beating Judah when Judah was lineal.

              Ratings can be very misleading

Guys like Gatti and Baldomir while #1, just weren't that good

its definitely roy. but its not the wash ppl seem to think it is. toney is his biggest win, hopkins comes next. but the other guys, yea floyd beat better fighters with the exception of mcallum but the version roy beat was far from prime.

I'm not discrediting Floyd's win over Baldomir. Baldomir had an 8 year, 19-0 winning streak coming in to the Floyd fight, with wins over Judah and Gatti. Only trolls completely disregard Baldomir off of Floyd's resume. I simply said Vaca, Malinga, and Sosa are just as good as Baldomir, Manfredy and Corley.
