jones win over toney is probably the best win any of those 3 fighters had but beating bernard when he did is not that big of a deal

Jones Jr beat the better fighters.

But, wouldn't it better to wait until Ward is actually 30? For example, he could be fighting Hopkins later this year although some would argue that wouldn't strengthen his resume by much given Hopkins age but he is ranked highly.

Also Allen Green was ranked in the top 10 by Ring when Ward beat him, not sure if you're including all ranked opponents.

Ward's Pre-30 resume could get better if only he'd fight Hopkins this year, but that seems unlikely.

IMO Chad Dawson's pre-30 resume is better than Ward's.

29 year old Chad Dawson had:

                Hopkins
                Adamek
                Johnson 2x
                Tarver 2x
                Harding[Better than Green and Miranda]
                Gardner[Better than Green and Miranda]

                vs

                29 year old Andre Ward

                Froch
                Kessler
                Bika
                Dawson
                Abraham
                Miranda
                Green

AND, Dawson's clear win over Hopkins now looks a lot better. His win over Adamek also became a lot better since Adamek's only other loss was against Vitali Klitschko at Heavyweight. His win over an "old" top 3 LHW Tarver looks a lot better now that Tarver knocked out Danny Green at CW, and fought a competitive fight against Kayode. The Johnson wins were good back then, and they are the same now.

Oh yeah ,the excuse that Hopkins was still a 5 year old child who had just come out of a day care center.

Both Jones and Hopkins had the same amount of championship bout experience: ZERO. It was both of their first major shot at a title, which was the vacant IBF MW title.

Sorry, for Dawson I thought I had put Diaconu there. Add Diaconu to that list, who's just as good as Abraham.
