Rigondeaux is an exceptional, superb, A+ once in a lifetime fighter. Lol.

That would be quite funny considering Donaire fans like to constantly bring up Rigo getting caught off balance by a jab & touching down.
Seems like their feet got tangled. But if concepcion doesn't land the punch he's still standing. Should've been scored a kd.

He's an incredible talent at this point and hopefully his career progresses and his potential is fulfilled. If he does beat Donaire not only will I pay you the e-points, congratulate you on your pick, but I will jump right on the bandwagon and sing his praises which I would normally reserve for a more experienced fighter. Win or lose I hope this kid goes places.

Right now i think that Rigondeaux will take this. Firstly i dont believe Donaire is as good against when he is forced to lead (which he will be), and also the elusiveness of Rigo is something that Donaire hasn't had to deal with to the level that Rigo will bring. One thing is for sure, Donaire will not be catching Rigo off of lazy right hands (Montiel) or from rushing in (Darchinyan), he is going to have be much smarter to land the bingo punch.

Other than the KO it i think Donaire best chance is to outwork Rigondeaux, who can become complacent in fights. However Rigo's style definitely does not lend itself to high activity due to his hard counter punching style.

In terms of ability i completely agree with Dan that Rigo is a special fighter, his Am achievements and the speed he's progressed as a pro are evidence of that. If he had been a pro his whole career i have no doubt he would have been up there in the p4p discussions.
I couldn't agree more with the bolded statements. My lament is that Rigo didn't have a chance to turn pro a few years earlier. Guillermo may not be a once in a lifetime talent, but his talent is rare indeed. No telling were Rigo would be right now.

Donaire tripped! He wasn't even hurt! And also The guy his fighting was 2 weight class overweight! You don't take that note! Donaire will out weigh Rigo, Out Powered Rigo and will KO Rigo!!

And who won that fight?? Donaire win it comfortably!

Just look at Video of that Donaire lone loss, I havent seen it, I heard the guy his fighting was 16 lbs bigger. I wanna see it!

The on-screen graphic blocks the view, but it appears to have been a slip. I wouldn't compare the moment directly with the Cordoba knockdown, but it demonstrates that a fighter can go down from a jab under the right circumstances. Neither Donaire nor Rigo's incidents compare with the knockdown Cotto scored against Clottey with a jab. There was no mistaking that. I'm tired of hearing the argument about the Cordoba jab. Rigo got hurt and went down because of that jab, yet didn't go down after two solid hooks from Marroquin? Please....

this interested me I looked a little further into according to wiki a fighter that comes close to rigo's amature record which they had at 374-12

one fighter that comes close in my mind despite different weight classes would be GGG which they had at 345-5...

now to what credibility wiki holds is not for me to comment on idk if those stats are correct...

Oh so Donaire gets a pass where as Rigo is labelled as having a glass jaw for the same thing despite Rigo actually being against an even bigger guy who hits a lot harder and is just well flat-out better than Concepcion, I see how it works!

It was one weight class & he hardly won it comfortably!

Very difficult to find reliable statistics. I've seen several numbers for Rigo, figures where Guillermo was supposedly over four hundred fights with only five losses. There's no telling precisely how successful these guys were as amateurs. One thing is certain, Rigondeaux is often cited as one of the greatest amateurs ever. You never hear that said of GGG.

                    I do too.
And didn't know Concepcion came in almost 120 for a Super Flyweight fight
