    Hopkins and TRT

Has anyone ever asked Hopkins whether he takes TRT or not? In MMA you have fighters in their 30's taking advantage of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (a lot of them unfairly) but Hopkins is 48. I heard that even if he is taking it, the athletic commissions can choose not to disclose it if the fighter does not want it going public.

Not taking anything away from Bernard, I'm not a fan of his style of fighting but he is doing amazing things at 48. Taking out fighters nearly half his age and in THEIR athletic prime.

I'd be extremely surprised if he didn't.

And it's not cheating. At least when it comes to Bernard as he's very likely to have too low testosterone naturally. Not like these 30 year olds that abused steroids their entire adult life and can't produce it on their own anymore.

Oh I agree, you have Alistair Overeem in MMA who blatantly roided to get the body he has now..or had should I say. He looked flat in his last fight because he most likely stopped roiding after he got caught and banned. He is in his early thirties, carries a **** load of muscle, trains like a beast, fights for a living and in his test it showed he had low testosterone..lower than the average man. This happens when you roid earlier on in your career and do it for an extended period of time also which causes your body not to produce adequate amounts on its own, hence TRT. He will probably use it in his next fight because of how badly he ****ed up his body. Vitor Belfort is the same, he uses it consistantly now and has been popped for roiding twice.

I suspect that by now it would have been leaked (presuming he's been on it for his last few fights) and DK would have been all over it crying foul

Yeah almost without a doubt Overeems body is built using steroids.

With that said, head traumas could cause a lowered testosterone production levels.
A guy like Toney probably have both punches to his head as well as steroids to blame for his need for TRT.

And Sonnen and Hendo get to use TRT. I don't even know what's up with Marquardt's exemption status. I think Mir is on that **** too.

            Gotta love MMA

Hendo is 42 and have taken a lot more damage than Hopkins.

Sonnen, Marquardt and Mir is probably bull****.

Too bad Chuck couldn't have gotten in on this craze. But I doubt it would have helped his chin once it was cracked

Of course it's cheating. He's old so he should be allowed to take illegal substances no one else is allowed? Fuck that, the commissions shouldn't allow it. No evidence that Hopkins is on anything so I don't mean this about him in particular, but if any boxer starts to get old then that's that, they get old.

If it's allowed, how is it cheating?

To cheat is breaking the rules. If you don't break the rules you're per definition not cheating.
