Lives a clean life, and the guy is extremely dedicated to the sport. That a long with some clever match ups on his part have played a part in his longevity. I agree with everyone stating that this is part of the reason he doesn't want to fight Ward. Wards boxing IQ is up there add speed and youth, it's a sure fire way to lose if you're Hopkins.

I like it though, bring on someone like Cleverly or Bute next. Nice way to go out defending the championship one more time.

Because African American ex cons never cheat why should he be suspect?

because he hasn't hooked up with a known steroid dealer, his physique hasn't gone through any miraculous changes, and he is just using his experience and boxing knowledge to outsmart his more younger and inexperienced opponents. if hopkins hooked up with someone like heredia and all of a sudden started looking like a body builder and knocking guys out cold then that would raise some red flags.

Yes I do, Hopkins breaks every single rule of the game that he can get away with. He looks very su****iously like Holyfield, who passes the Commission tests, and we know absolutely that -Holyfield is a drug user. He hasn't taken any "serious' drug tests, and in fact refused to take one. For many years at 160 with no weight problems, he suddenly within a few months was 175, and looked absolutely chiseled, with not a scrap of fat. Just at about the same age as Marquez.... And from being 175 at weigh-in, refuses to weigh in again prefight, and probably comes into the ring at about 190. In the Calzaghe fight he looked at least 15 lbs heavier, even more. This body transformation seems to have begun sometime after he fought Oscar when he weighed 156...You should have a look at him in that fight.

Of course nobody knows what he does, so it's only opinion. He is the most secretive of all fighters. Nobody goes to the bathroom with him. He'd know exactly how to get anything he wanted.

you're right, he actually loves a pint and can be found fuelling up on chicken with waffles and ice-cream on an average day and on Twinkies and Twix during training camp.

If Hopkins was a Top Rank fighter you wouldn't be saying any of this ****.

That requires a combination of genetics, hard work, dedication, and luck. But PEDs help, and, as I said before, no one is beyond su****ion nowadays, especially a 48 year old athlete who is still competing at the highest levels.
There isn't a single guy in boxing history at ANY weight, except Holyfield, who has looked anything near what Hopkins looks like by age 48. Maybe Schwartzenegger......

I wonder why no food supplement company, nor organic food company has approached him about endorsements.....

The most famous natural foods/vegetarianism guru in history, advisor to the whole of Hollywood, royalty, etc.who made vegetarianism popular, Gaylord Hauser, was caught one time stuffing himself with a huge steak in an obscure resturant. It ruined his business. Are we to believe that it was the first time he "slipped".... I'd believe Hauser before Hopkins any day.....

It's also easier on a third party reader to keep up what we're talking about. Glad we cleared that up.
