My argument is if Vitali's a ATG because he gives ATG's a run for their money then those that beat ATG should be ATG too, because they did more than give them a run for their money.

thing is, he is only giving them 'a run for their money in your dreams' - he hasn't don't it in reality. In fact he got DESTROYED by the only ATG he fought, one who was about to retire too, and when Vitali was prime.

Best thing that ever happened in Vitali's career was being cut up so bad by lewis that the doctor had to stop the fight, it means his d ick riders can claim 'injury' - (which is incorrect anyway, he was stopped due to damage inflicted by punches from his opponent but don't tell them that)when everybody with sense knows old, fat, out of shape lewis had him well and truly whooped inside six rounds.
