its a list. u see the names i picked above him rite. the other names are debatable sure, but they are all somewhere on the list. u dont like how i worded it, thats fine, but i achieved my goal in typing it. i have arguments for and against each of the other two but at the end, they all make the top five so why the hell does it matter??? they all are in the top 5!smh

There's some straight up ignorance going on in this poll.

As far as a complete list of wins and where those guys were at the times, he is Top 5.

Only Whitaker, Holyfield, and Pacquiao slightly are clearly above Floyd the last 25 years. Hopkins and Lewis are debatable, but let's list those wins.

Hopkins beat Mercado, Jackson, Holmes, Trinidad, Daniels, Joppy, Allen, De La Hoya, Eastman, Tarver, Wright, Pavlik, and Pascal.

Lewis beat Ruddock, Tucker, Bruno, Jackson, McCall, Akinwande, Golota, Briggs, Holyfield, Grant, Botha, Rahman, and Vitali. I don't give him credit for Tyson, Mike hadn't done anything of note in like 4 years by 2002.

Foyd has beat Genaro, Manfredy, Corrales, C. Hernandez, Chavez, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, and Cotto.

I may actually give him an edge over Lewis, and it's debatable with Hopkins.

And as far as the others possibly up there....Tyson, Toney, Jones, De La Hoya, Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Floyd has a better list of wins than those guys.

How can you not give Lewis credit for Tyson in 2002? Tyson had a career revivial and in that first round could have knocked out any version of Wladimir...

Even if you give Oscar the Trinidad win and one of the Mosley fights, you could say many felt he didn't beat Whitaker, and many felt he didn't beat Quartey, or Sturm either.

So as it stands....Oscar has wins over Molina, Ruelas, Genaro, Leija, Chavez, Gonzalez, Whitaker, Quartey, Carr, Gatti, Vargas and Sturm......

I'll take wins over Genaro, Manfredy, Corrales, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, and Cotto over that.

Oscar lost most of his big fights, and even if you give him a win or two of those big fights losses, you could take away possibly as many as 3 other wins on his resume.

Also, Floyd definitely has the longevity argument on his side. Oscar's last 8 years of his career (01-08) he beat Gatti, Vargas, and Sturm. In Floyd's last 8 years (05-12) he's beaten Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Ortiz, and Cotto. Prior to that Oscar had been on top for 7 years (94-00) and prior to that for Floyd, he'd also been on top for 7 years 98-04.

Floyd's still beating top fighters at 35-36 years old. Oscar wasn't.

I gotta check you on this... while Oscar was on his way out, he still was hungry and fought the two top fighters of his time, floyd and pac...

Floyds a ***** who runs from the best comp.... you cant compare the two. Oscar like any other ATG was still hungry for a challenge at the end. Floyds money hungry, only. Thats not to say its a bad thing but dont go around saying hes the best or top 5 in anything if his only reason for fighting is now money and not for the fans

I didn't vote because to be honest I haven't watched enough of the last 25 years to be accurate. I will say haters don't give his resume the respect it deserves, but as a fan of his it's a shame he didn't do more for it when he could have.
