  • Broner looked great to be fair.. Rees is fairly underrated. He shouldn't really be blown away like that.

and neither has broner. so your point again?

      • Broner performed as I expected, now he can move on to better opposition. I still want to see him vs. Vasquez or Abril, guys who have very awkward styles.

Man it's not even worth it. People have an agenda that goes deeper than boxing. There's nothing you can do to change their minds

He wouldn't handle Matthysse's power, Rees touched Broner's body all night. Matthysse would stop him.
The speed would cause Broner problems. Khan isn't great but he moves his feet fairly well an Broner is like a box. He fights is a confined manner, if you notice most of his punches come from a centralized position where he throws punches with his elbows tight to his sides and uses his arm from the elbow to the fist to land punches.

He also has pretty bad footwork and moves in a repetitive, rocking motion that can easily be timed. Khan's in an out motion would allow him to get out of the way before Broner could touch him. Broner's best punch s that uppercut that he also throws with his elbow tucked around the waist line.

He is just very confined...a fast rangy fighter has a lot of advantages over him.

dude, ur so blinded by pointless hate, u refuse to call things what they are. i mean u still think gamboa would win against broner?? rees shot his load, scored some points and got beat. u wanna rejoice over a couple of ineffective punches? go ahead. but at the end of the day, broner is looking a whole lot better than gamboa rite now.

              • Gamboa vs Broner is not a fight I'd want to see...
Abril/Burns/Vazquez(If he beats Burns) those are the guys I would want to see Broner fight, really want to see how he'd cope with a guy who is going to fight from the outside just to see how he copes.

You like the rest of the other people are conveniently forgetting to mention the 15 month layoff with 20 lbs put on overnight. Gamboa was already showing fatigue from like the 5th or 6th round which he never did. And like I said before, that was a perfect shot that would've KO'ed anyone on their best night.
The guy was a basic 1-2 fighter, easy to read yet he was able to land that shot, and that was at 130. Don't act like it doesn't mean anything when we're discussing a potential fight between Gamboa and a big, strong, skilled, powerful 135 lber. Like I said, I see Gamboa winning most of the rounds until het gets caught and stopped.

You're the one who compared Gamboa to Trinidad, he doesn't have the one-shot power of Tito and if he fights Broner he'd be fighting a guy who's bigger and hits harder, never happened to Tito in his prime.

What agenda? Broner victories consist of smaller guys who he just walks down and stand in front of him. Come talk to me when he fights and beats a mobile guy so I can retract my posts. He failed to bully Quintero and Ponce and look what happened.

                    • Gavin came to fight. Everyone that knows him and has followed his career knew he was going to come to fight and go out on his shield.

People did underestimate Rees. He's very short But he's really not that bad. He is a good, solid little fighter.

That said, the fight went how I expected.
