They remind me of two international amatuer competitors because of their style and form. Rigo has the Cubano added element and Donaire looks like a typical USA amatuer boxer back in the 80s! Straight up, lots of laterial movement and boxes to set up power!
The fight will develop once the power issue is resolved! Who has the power must be determined then who has the chin. Plenty of times the guy with the power doesn't have the chin!!!! I like them both, should be a highly entertaining bout or be a stinker southpaw/righty bore!!
Rigo will fight his fight and it will be interesting to see how he's attacked. Will right hand leads work with hooks behind them or will feint jab and left hooks work or will he just try to back him up and fight the southpaw as if he is conventional?? Should be good..............might not! I'll see. Ray.

I'll tell you...because that jab got him shook.

Because it is boxing. You stand toe-to-toe with a big, experienced vastly underrated Ricardo Cordoba you are playing with fire.

He moved, created angles and potted shotted. Boxing 101.

That fight hurt him all the negativity you lot gave him! He came back much more exciting and absolutely wrecked undefeated Euro champion, Willie Casey DESTROYED Rico Ramos and Kennedy and you still hated on him. He was going to fight Poonsawatt, half the clowns on here tried downplaying Poon lol!

He took Marroquinn to school and made him look like a chump and you all nitpicked him getting hit with 2 shots over a 12 round period.
      Pathetic carry on.

You'll have no choice but to respect him once he crushes your idol.

Is this a "balance issue" too? LOL. And that was from a pitty pat left hook.

That's something I've never been quite able to explain to myself. The jab really didn't appear to hurt Rigo, not visibly. Yet, he got on his bike for the rest of the fight. It's logical to assume the jab affected Guillermo, but it just didn't look like much. Rigo ate a couple of solid hooks from Marroquin and reacted differently.

Marroquinn is big and has a lot of power, he has took many guys clean out with that same shot. He got caught showboating and returned fire with a left uppercut to the body before tying his man up. He then proceeded to win every round, drop him twice and win an easy UD.

A pitty pat left hook? GTFO! That was a perfectly timed counter, a great punch from a guy with a very potent left hook.

I could upload many vids of Donaire getting tagged by much lesser guys than Marroquinn but its nitpicking.

There is no hate for Rigo, just a strong response to the over- hyping by guys like Cov.

Those weren't monster hooks, but they weren't "pitty pat" either.

Isn't that exactly what Rigondeaux did? The left hook is all you lot and Donaire are relying on. You'll realise you're in trouble when its taken away from him and so will Donaire who will have to adapt and show something he never has before.

He got rocked by the jab of a B class fighter did he? Oh well at least he doesn't have a loss to a F rated part time club fighter.

I don't need to use ALTs unlike some...
