I'm thinking it was psychological more than anything. Apparently that was the first time Rigondeaux's ever been knocked down. Maybe a once bitten, twice shy sorta thing in that fight.

He got rocked by the jab of a B class fighter did he? Oh well at least he doesn't have a loss to a F rated part time club fighter.

I don't need to use ALTs unlike some...
lol! that left hook will make Rigo go down to canvas like the others! btw, have you watch him against Nishioka? he knock down Nishioka with right straight! lol!

btw, so how Ducknaire to you now? lol! I wonder what will be your next excuse now! dumb! lol

A near 40yr old, past his sell by date who'd been inactive for a year. Good win but not overly impressive.

A pitty pat left hook? GTFO! That was a perfectly timed counter, a great punch from a guy with a very potent left hook.

I could upload many vids of Donaire getting tagged by much lesser guys than Marroquinn but its nitpicking.
C'mon, that wasn't a big left hook at all. That was more of an arm punch than anything, Marroquin didn't even pivot or put his body into it.

If that type of left hook can stagger Rigondeaux, one can reasonably inference that one of the best left hooks in the business (Donaire's) landing on Rigondeaux will obliterate him.

That's the best I ever came up with myself. Rigo has only been down that one time as a pro. He fought hundreds of amateur fights. Who knows if he ever went down? He certainly appears to have instinctively reverted to an amateur strategy after the Cordoba knockdown: coast on points.

I'm not sold either way on Rigo's chin. Questions have certainly been raised, but the answers are yet to be provided. I'm inclined to believe the Donaire fight will answer all our questions.

It was textbook and not an arm punch at all. If he pivoted or loaded up it would of had even lesser effect or missed as Rigondeaux would of seen it coming and took a lot off it.

If, if, if, if he can land it.
IF Tua landed his left hook flush on Lennox it may of been a different fight.

Where I come from that is called a punchers chance

Rigondeaux will look great against an oppenent who throws a lot of like Donaire.

The likes of Mathebula & Vazquez Jr couldn't miss down the pipe against Donaire at times, can't wait to see what Rigo's straight left going to do....let alone his body shots.
