He looked slow, his mechanics were sloppy and his timing wasn't there. Maybe it was a really bad night.

How about he stays under 160 in between fights and makes 147 again and then we see if he can still compete. But boy it sure seemed like it was over against Trout.

Cotto is not a 154lber. If he can still make 147 comfortably, Id pick him over Berto at the very least.

If not, he's simply past it.

He's been in a lot of tough fights and taken some serious beatings. He was never elite anyway, but he wasn't the same after Margarito gave him an almighty shellacking, then Pacquiao brutalised him and took what was left. If he carries on he's going to be another Mosley - someone the challengers beat up to get to the top.

How is he shot? Of he was shot he wouldn't be able to throw punches like Mosley vs pac Floyd and mora. Or getting beat up.

He's definitely not in his physical prime but he still q big threat and more experienced then ever

He ran out of gas against Floyd too though. He shot his bolt in the 8th. Rather than deliver big in the championship rounds, he wilted completely and Floyd took over. The difference in energy levels is really obvious in the 9th, suddenly Cotto doesn't have the steam to corner Floyd against the ropes anymore. And once they were in open country it was a one-sided fight.

he stopped yuri foreman with a body shot right? yeah I know it was a few years ago, he should go to the body more you're right.

Yeah, but Foreman was missing the only thing that made him any decent, mobility.

Not completely shot but he show the signs of wear and tear. He never beat the top of the competition and now even less. He is entertaining but he is past his best days.

Let this man retire with his senses intact! Watch his eyes when he takes a good punch, look for the reaction!! Its not a good reaction, its a complacency that you don't want to see in any fighter especially a former top tier contender.
The only reason I keep repeating this is if his cousin reads the junk on here and he mentions that I prefer Cotto to stop getting hit in the head when theres no reason to anymore!!

......."Cotto go home, stay there, enjoy your children, don't listen to your moron fans who want every drop of blood you have left"

the only commonality between fighter and fans is that most of them can't SEE when its time to leave!!! Ray.
