Hatton could potentially overwhelm Cotto later in the fight with a solid string of big punches, but I think Cotto would cut his face to pieces before that happened.

Anybody notice the giant slew of Cotto opponents who have been stopped because their face was beyond beat to ****? (Maussa, Abdullaev, Ceballos)...yeah, Hatton is susceptible to cuts and I see Cotto stopping him on cuts after being KD'ed in the middle rounds of the fight.

not getting affected by punches and not getting hurt in a boxing ring is nothing short of impossible.

gatti takes great shots, doesnt back down, and doesnt go down.
holyfield TOOK great shots, and came back with some of his own.

cotto was hurt by corrley (not exactly mr. dynamite hands) and was this close to being KOd by torres (a very green and at the time, unproven fighter).

now, cotto going up against hatton (one of the most aggressive punchers in over a decade) is simply suicide for cotto. unlike cotto, hatton can take it, shake it off, absorb it, and come right back with more. cotto cant do that. every time he gets tagged with a good shot, he staggers around and needs a few seconds to get his feet back (something holyfield and gatti dont have any trouble doing). cottos fight with torres was a war because torres was hungry and aggressive and cotto was determined and willing. never has holyfield or gatti been as wobbly as cotto was in the 3rd round with corrley or in the entire fight with torres.

comparing two tough warriors with a young boxer who just cant take it as well as dish it out, is flat out insane.

gatti and holyfield "not having the greatest chins". have you even seen them fight?

No you didnt step on a nerve Saint...just my heart, just my heart.

Gatti and Holy were both easy to hurt-do you realize how many fighters were able to hurt them? Therefore they do not have GREAT chins-why is that so hard to understand-they have good solid chins but certainly not great.

How many fighters have been able to hurt Jorge Castro or James Toney? Please answer this for me...those are great chins.

As for Corely's punching power...Cotto did a dangerous thing in that fight...he hunted Demarcus very early and was trying to take him out from the get go (trying to impress his dirty little homeboys)...what he did was give Chop Chop no choice but to (listen carefully) SIT DOWN ON HIS PUNCHES AND HOPE FOR THE BEST.

The punch that Corley seriously hurt Cotto with would have hurt almost all fighters...not saying that Cotto's chin is dynamite or even solid either.

As for watching Holyfield or Gatti fight....nah I havent really seen much of either guy but my cousin Richie says they are both pretty tight-trust me my cousin Richie would never steer me wrong, you...Im not so sure.

So no Ive never seen Evander or Gatti fight.

Who do y'all think will win, when they hopefully face off this year???

from the corley and torres fights we saw that his chin is not good, but suspect, and he did show that he is somewhat mature when hurt.........however against torres, the only reason why he wasn't ktfo, was because torres ran out of gas on the big stage........so when cotto gets hurt from ricky, do you think hatton won't have the gas to finish him off?........my guess is hatton will have that gas required..............having said that it would be an interesting fight, and i'd prefer to see this one than a gatti - hatton fight.

who do you guys think is stronger???
          who hits harder??

          hatton or torres??

cottos chin is OK unlike other people that torres faught when they got hit from torres punches they ended up losing not cotto...cotto recovers just fine and torres hits VERY hard...cotto could stand hattons punches even if they was for 12 rounds but i doubt that hatton hits harder than torres

Cotto wont fight Hatton like he fought Torres...He will fight Hatton using his SUPERIOR boxing skillz...He will fight Hatton like he did against Abdulaev and Ndou..

u never seen either of them fight?! you dont know what ur missing out on! holyfield/bowe 1 and gatti/ward 1 were two of the greatest fights in the past 20 years!

that also explains why you say "they were easy to hurt". if you have never seen them fight, how do you know how many fighters hurt them?

on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best) i rate holyfields chin at about 9. i would rate gatti's at a 8 or maybe a 9. both guys are iron tough. if they were as easy to hurt as you say, theres no way they would have had so many great wars.

sure their chins werent on par with really tough fighters like marvin hagler, rocky marciano, or jake lamotta. but they are both tough.

Looks like the pr guys are the only ones that think that Cotto has an opportunity vs the hitman, but reallity says something different! PR has his last hope in Cotto and that's what makes them think he will prevail against the greatest!, wonder why that fight is not around the corner?, how come Maussa went to England to try to unify while Cotto was wearing his "pantallas" and shaving his eyebrows?
If Cotto's managers think that he is not ready for the big 140 lbs fights and wants him to move on to 147 lbs, there is no way Cotto's name will be undefeated by the end of this year, there is no chances for him against Hatton (in 140lbs.), Mayweather, Judah or Margarito!, Sorry boris!...
