Miguel Cotto Vs. Ricky Hatton-- Who will win???

I think Miguel Cotto has it all- Offense, Defense, Disipline and a good chin, but can he handle an animal like Hatton? Cotto's one of my most favorite fighters, but after watching the Torres fight where he was wobbled once or twice and the Corley fight when he got rocked, I'm a bit nervous. Who do y'all think will win, when they hopefully face off this year???

You cant be serious, his defence is pretty poor and his chin has been shaken enough times to realise its not solid.

And to say cotto has good chin is a joke. I wouldn't call it bad, because he can at least get it together after a knockdown.

Margarito and Hatton, they have good chins, Cotto, at this point, average.

Cotto would win imo, he wouldnt allow himself to be hugged and wrestled into submission like tszyu did.

i used to think that this was a huge win for cotto, w/ ease. but we've seen some things in the ring w/ cotto that some think are horrible, but that i think are great. he takes a good shot and can keep his composure, lets not kid ourselves, he only been down once because the idiot referee called that throwdown a knockdown. now, the fight. i just don't see cotto being baited into fighting hattons fight - u need 2 to tango and w/ cottos patience i truly can see him picking off hatton for a majority of the fight. if hatton makes it his fight w/ a willing cotto, then i see bad things but cotto's not a dumb fighter and no way in any case does cotto get KO'd by hatton. a more probable outcome is cotto on the cards.

COTTO IS ALOT STONGER THAN HATTON. Cotto comes in at 154-156.Cotto will push around hatton and finish him off with a left hook to the body in the 10 although it going to be a great fight.

i agree with everything you said here, about 1 year ago i used to think cotto would beat hatton without a doubt, but now its a lot closer, i would take cotto to win, but it would not surprise me if ricky hatton won this fight.

imo hatton wud dominate cotto
cottos body wud find it hard with hattons constant body shots and hes chin aint the greatest in the world so getting through the middle rounds wudnt be easy on hes chin

I remember watching Hatton against Oliveria and Cotto was fighting some guy (Bailey I think) at the same time (I think). Going back to work the next day I told my work collegue that Hatton was gonna be the next big star of this division. He just laughed, dismissing Hatton as a nobody and arguing that Cotto was gonna sweep all before him. Classic.
