I really like Cotto and would be cheering for him to win, but I think Hatton would just put too much pressure on Cotto right now and would have to say Hatton would win by late round TKO.

this would be a good fight...and a very hard one for cotto...yea cotto got rocked by corley and torres but he came back and won those fights like a champ..cotto has the ability to recover when he is rocked and that is good..a fight against hatton hmmmm id say cotto would win by 8th round TKO or stopage..or maybe hatton might lose by DQ...those lil dirty tactics he used in his home town arent gonna work over here.and im not saying that just because im a cotto fan im just saying it cause i know cotto could beat hatton..not only will it be a hard fight for cotto but it would also be hard for hatton.. i bet if cotto had a total of 40 pro fights i wonder what everone would say...cotto will have a big fight this year and i belive he will prove everyone wrong...cotto is going to take over!!!!!!!

not getting affected by punches and not getting hurt in a boxing ring is nothing short of impossible.

gatti takes great shots, doesnt back down, and doesnt go down.
holyfield TOOK great shots, and came back with some of his own.

cotto was hurt by corrley (not exactly mr. dynamite hands) and was this close to being KOd by torres (a very green and at the time, unproven fighter).

now, cotto going up against hatton (one of the most aggressive punchers in over a decade) is simply suicide for cotto. unlike cotto, hatton can take it, shake it off, absorb it, and come right back with more. cotto cant do that. every time he gets tagged with a good shot, he staggers around and needs a few seconds to get his feet back (something holyfield and gatti dont have any trouble doing). cottos fight with torres was a war because torres was hungry and aggressive and cotto was determined and willing. never has holyfield or gatti been as wobbly as cotto was in the 3rd round with corrley or in the entire fight with torres.

comparing two tough warriors with a young boxer who just cant take it as well as dish it out, is flat out insane.

gatti and holyfield "not having the greatest chins". have you even seen them fight?
LOL..what are ya about 20 something? Get real. I watched Evander as an amatuer. Seen damn near every Gatti fight...Kid..this recovery thing is a crock...u get hit the right way...it's nighty- night and I don't care who u are.

Hatton pummels Cotto in a crowd pleasing brawl...... I'm not saying Cotto wouldn't get his licks in , but Hatton would push Cotto into the deep end and drown him. and i'm not talking about going into the later rounds i'm talking about going to the depths of a fight that Cotto has never been before, a place where Hatton dwells......good match up though... Hatton wins before the 10th round

miguel Cotto should win, but he will have to change a little bit, he would have to learn to punch while on the back foot, he will have let hatton comin and pick him off with his jab and an occasional right. with the looks of hatton and i could be wrong but it seems it would be easy to draw blood from him, its just that no one has done it effectively yet because of his style. Cotto will have to learn to break that style and he certainly has the capabiltiy and the discipline to do it. If cotto comes prepared hatton got no chance!.

Hatton although is skilled, is a dirty fighter. In the states he will not be given the freedom that he was given in his home town.

Hatton/Cotto would be a great fight. Hatton has been cut many times and Cotto is a cut masterhe cuts many of his opponents and Hatton will not be an exception. I say Cotto wins 7th round TKO on cuts. If Cotto exchanges with Ricky on the inside this will be a problem, he will have to move like he did in the Abdulaev fight. Abdulaev's style is similar to Hatton they are both pressure fighters. So if Cotto fights smart he has a really good chance of beating the easily cut Hatton.

Hopefully we will know this year...

...If Hatton grows some balls and fights in the US.

                    My prediction...Cotto by TKO 11th.

Go back and read my initial post again SWEET-at no time did I say Gatti or Holy had weak chins as you suggest-that would be foolish, I simply said they did not have great chins.

Is there a difference between WEAK and GREAT? If there is a difference between the 2 then you lose, right?
