This has nothing to do with how popular he is. I couldn't care less about how popular he is nor do I hate Canelo. What I hate is people calling him "Great" when he's done nothing to show it. And when people consider him to be the next Tommy Hearn's with his punching power when he's not finishing European level WW's.

The fact of the matter is, Canelo is not a great fighter. Or atleast not yet and saying he is a great fighter at this point of his career and after the so little he has done is outright absurd.
And you are entitled to your opinion so if you want to be cautious about it thats up to you but i see something in him that just makes him head a shoulders better than a lot of these so called obscure fighters that everyone wants to name drop all the time.

He completely out classed and worked over Mosely. Guerrero would be in a life and death struggle against Mosely even if he is 40. and if i remember correctly the majority of you Canelo haters wouldn't shut the *** about about how Mosely was going to expose Canelo.

No, the vast majority of people wouldn't shut the **** up about the fact Mosley hadn't won a fight since 2009 and was coming off 3 horrific performances.

And that Canelo was probably going to be the first one to stop him with his Mike Tyson power.

This is about his popularity and how people just get all upset and wanna downplay his talent because he hasnt fought Pac, Floyd, and every major player in the division before his 21st birthday.

Don't hate his popularity dude it's not his fault that people like him they just do.
Canelo has potential, no doubt, but people don't think he deserves a shot at Floyd just because he is popular. I don't care that he is popular, but I do care that he might be fighting the #1 P4P fighter in boxing even though he comes into his fights the size of Sergio Martinez and has beat up on old, blown-up WWs.

Broner is also young (23) and comes into his fights with a weight advantage often, but at least he is fighting the top guys in his division.

It isn't just that he is not fighting a top-10 or top-15 guy in his division, but also that he is fighting older guys who are not natural JMWs.

Ehhh, was Cintron a WW? He was a JMW I thought (coming back with the Molina and other fight). A crappy fighter now, but still a JMW.

Guerrero is who Floyd should be fighting. Floyd won the WBC welterweight tittle from Ortiz in September 2011. Guerrero is the regular WBC welterweight champ and Floyd is the WBC welterweight superchamp. When he gets in the ring with Guerrero it will have taken him almost 20 months to defend his tittle so it's about time. Also since he is going to fight at 147 he should vacate his WBA 154 pound tittle he won from Cotto last May or at least declare his intentions to defend that tittle in September. A guy who fights an average of once a year should not tie up two different tittles of different weights. Other deserving fighters want a shot at those tittles.
