Don't box your question in with this "his weight class" question. Canelo has shown pure boxing skills ever since he was at ww.. Canelo has had how many fights at sww? He's demonstrated boxing skills as far back as the Jose Cotto fight.

Floyd brings out the most irrational side of boxing fans I think I've ever encountered. He could fight Martinez next and people would say dumb shlt like Martinez was never the same after the Chavez fight or something idiot like that.

Most boxers have to demonstrate their against top or at least decent competition before they get a huge shot. We're talking about the P4P #1.

What has he proven? He has talent, but that shouldn't carry you to a shot against the P4P #1. He also is big for his division.

Canelo for the most part has been beating up on older fighters who are not in their natural weight class. Fighting someone like Keith Thurman or Demetrius Andrade would be a step up. It would also neutralize the age excuse.

People think that Guerrero coming forward will give Floyd a fight. Yeah, right! This happens only because Floyd is older. They saw Guerrero take shots from guys who they think hit harder than Floyd.

Precision punching and accuracy makes a guy hit just as hard as a naturally hard puncher. Can Guerrero beat Canelo? No. Can Guerrero go to 154? Yes, hell he came to 147 after beating two tough natural ww's. My point is this. As far as skills, I think Canelo has more. As far as chin and heart, Guerrero wins out. Canelo and Guerreros resumes. Edge to Guerrero, but that's judging them on their careers, not at ww or sww.

I'll take either fight, but imo the more dangerous fight for Floyd is the Canelo fight. He can actually box anyone around his weight accept Floyd, but who can?

I'd like to see if Canelo could outbox Trout, Lara, or Molina.

There both bums who only fought and beat bums

But the real question is how is he even allowed to fight after failing 3 drug tests in a row?

Look, Canelo is a champion, and his resume isn't shabby from ww to sww, and he's grown with each fight. He looks like a big sww to you, but when you see him next to Trout or Kirkland or even Angulo, he will look smaller than those guys.

Canelo came from ww. The majority of his fights WERE at ww I believe. I don't get the impression that Canelo isn't deserving of a fight with Floyd. If I were Canelo, I'd first take my chances fighting a 35 year old Floyd at 154 than a Trout or Kirkland at 154.

I think he can. Trout would be the most difficult of the 3. I think Vanes would give Canelo a fight more than the 3 you mentioned.

                      I agree 100%!

But the reason why people are against this fight is because Guerrero does not have great power and a lot of these fans just want to see Mayweather get KNOCKED OUT

This is why if you notice that most casual fans (and Mayweather Haters) either call for him to fight someone much BIGGER THEN HIM or someone who is known for Power...Rarely do they call for him to fight another Skilled Boxer

I would love to see Mayweather vs Trout...I think Trout can beat Mayweather! Bigger, Excellent Jab and a Southpaw things that people always clain he struggles with...But nobody wants to see it because Trout is a Boxer who doesn't have great Power so nobody is calling for that fight
