Floyd came in over the weight limit. Floyd didnt have to kill himself to make weight. By not having to lose weight he kept his power and strength. I think Floyd purposely didn't make weight to gain an advantage.

He didn't even fight him in a way in which is weight would matter such as an inside fight, he boxed him from a distance the entire fight.

He won every second of every round after a 2 year layoff, that 2lbs meant absolutely nothing.
2 Pounds over weight on the day of the weigh in.

No one knows how many pounds over on fight night.

Fight night is when it matters and Floyd rehydrated to a much bigger physique while JMM was as hydrated as he was going to get wet and wearing boots.

      Its not about 2 pounds.

Let Floyd fight Marquez at 143-144lbs, then come tell us how he's better than him.
FAIL! Pac was 147. Try again.

Everyone re-hydrates to a higher weight the next day.

Look at Mayweather's history regarding fight night weights. His weight wasn't an issue. Marquez was nowhere near as fast as Floyd and was picked apart based on better boxing.

he gave in 2 pounds at the scales for the III Pacquiao fight and gave up 4 pounds when he put him to sleep Floyd actually weight in less then Manny

techincally they changed the contract so the fight wasn't at a catchweight but Floyd probably should never attempted to make 144 should have signed at full 147 from the beginning like Pacquiao did

Anyone even bringing up weight as any kind of reason or excuse as to why Floyd beat JMM, is a .

If you know boxing, and you watch that fight, you can clearly see it was a boxfest. It wasn't an inside fight, where the bigger man is leaning on the smaller man or pushing him around the ring with his larger blown up frame.

It was a boxfest. It was a counter puncher vs a better, faster counter puncher.

JMM is at his best when the opponent comes at him, not when he himself is being counter-punched.

Floyd should have said 147 or no fight.

There will forever be an * next that win.
