I also believe he should be undefeated, but i do think he struggle more than i thought he would with Judah n Alexander, i saw him win those fights, both Judah n Alexander fought terrible fights against Matthysse real defensive not even turning on there punches, there is no way Alexander n Judah won those fights

Like others have said, the Judah fight was close. I'm pretty sure I scored it a draw.

I thought he beat Alexander in their fight for sure.

4corners: He has changed how he fights. His tempo and attitude. He let Alexander and Judah carry the fight, and arguably still won both. I don't see how anyone could give Alexander that fight actually.

He's an improved fighter and as dangerous as ever. If he fought Judah or Alexander today he might even ko them. He carries fights now, not the other way around.

I find it funny people think Matthysse will steam roll anyone at 140, when the two best fighters he faced, Judah and Alexander......he didn't steam roll and kill either of them.

But all you hear on here is how Matthysse will slaughter anyone and everyone, and beat the s**t out of god himself.

Seriously, Matthysse went from being underrated to a bit overrated.
Agreed, he definitely beat devon though.

I really like the guy but people are overrating him now, and if he gets beat they gonna flip flop

I think when you lose to Judah, a guy who is trashed around here for losing big fights and being a little higher than gatekeeper level, you do not have the right to be called a monster or anything like that.

He lost to an old Judah by 1 point.

That is just how people view Judah, I think he's a good fighter who happened to get the bulk of his losses at 147 against bigger and better fighters. At 140 he has two losses which I give no excuse for. He lost to Tszyu and Khan they were just better than him. Judah is a career 36-2[approx] at 140, and 6-5 at 147. He's really not a bad fighter. People like to bring up his big fight losses, but they don't realize how small he is at 147 and that's where the bulk of his losses come from.

With that said, I think Judah loses to Garcia but it would be cool to see him win. I also think that Matthysse probably beats him in a rematch. Judah is old but can beat guys like the bottom 5 of the JWW division and Olusegun, McCloskey, Dallas. I don't think he beats the top 5 despite him being part of it[#3].

He doesn't fight the same way he did when he first fought Judah.

Undoubtedly he has improved since the Judah fight but I agree entirely with you, people have a way of overrating fighters who can punch, They did that with Maidana,Pirog, GGG and Lucas M, it's very annoying to be honest, if Lucas is this killer then he should be disposing of this guys within 3 rounds.

I agree he should be undefeated.Saying he beat the breaks off Judah may be over doing it but he knocked Judah down, won more rounds than Judah and was a clear winner in my opinion. The fight with Alexander was an even more one sided win for Lucas than the Judah win in my opinion. That fight was a hometown robbery. He should be champion at 140 and he will be if any belt holder will fight him.
