Yes we can.
Can we all agree, Lucas Matthysse should be undefeated?

Judah was a close fight.
I find it funny people think Matthysse will steam roll anyone at 140, when the two best fighters he faced, Judah and Alexander......he didn't steam roll and kill either of them.
But all you hear on here is how Matthysse will slaughter anyone and everyone, and beat the s**t out of god himself.
Seriously, Matthysse went from being underrated to a bit overrated.
Agree with all of theseComment

He clearly beat Alexander. There should be no doubt there. Judah fight was close, but more people have said Matthyse won then Judah.Judah was a close fight.

Regardless of those two fights, Matthyse has improved and turned into a real killer since. He doesn't **** around anymore and goes straight for the ko from start to finish. Some people tend to forget this when trying understand why people feel he is clearly the best at 140, which he is.
The two fights he was robbed he let them carry the pace. He doesnt do that anymore.Last edited by Da Machine; 12-16-2012, 01:31 PM.Comment

Mattysse was a slow stater then. If you watch the second half of both fights, Lucas beat the **** both Judah and Alexander. He seems to be more confident and let go his hands earlier now.Judah was a close fight.

Who has he fought since??? Olusegun and Soto most notably.....not exactly world beaters themselves, and one was fighting at a weight he isn't that good at.He clearly beat Alexander. There should be no doubt there. Judah fight was close, but more people have said Matthyse won then Judah.

I want Garcia-Matthysse too, but the facts are that the two best fighters he's faced, he didn't steam and kill either of them. I thought Judah won, but Matthysse should have gotten the W over ALexander. Still though, he didn't steam roll and kill him and knock them out.
But if you have any Matthysse-?????? questions......the answer is that Matthysse kills them and knocks them out easily.Comment

You obviously didn't see either fight if you think he did anything remotely close to struggling. The Zab fight was closer, but Devon received a terrible beating.Comment

Both were extremely close fights and Matthyse was not the obvious winner people make him out to be. Having said that, I scored both fights for the Argentine by a couple points.Comment

He's changed the tempo and attitude of his fighting. If you can't see that then I don't know what to tell you.Who has he fought since??? Olusegun and Soto most notably.....not exactly world beaters themselves, and one was fighting at a weight he isn't that good at.

How were his last wins nothing but steamrolling someone? He knocked them out, and never lost a rd. Edit: you were talking about other two.
Like i said in my other post. He has changed his pace and attitude when fighting. He let Judah and Alexander carry the fight. Now he just goes for the kill. If he would have done that in the Judah fight he would have won more clearly. IDK about a ko.
Garcia would have no chance. First off, Garcia isn't that good. That will be the jist of it right there, but to go into more detail, he is too slow, punches too wide, and Matthyse punches to hard for someone that easy to hit to last. Not to mention I don't see anyone at 140 with the power to put Matthyse out. Dude doesn't even get affected by punches. His head literally doesn't move when getting hit.Last edited by Da Machine; 12-16-2012, 01:40 PM.Comment
