Ok ... unlike a lot of people on these forums, I don't have a problem with you. I'm not sure what your interest in amateur records is, but there's nothin' wrong with it, as long as the information you have is right.

Jones ran for his life for the last six rounds or so, he was too scared to trade because he knew he wasn't good enough. He knew that he didn't have the skill to out-box decent fighters. Taylor wasn't all that good against Hopkins, but I wasn't impressed with Jones at all.

And against Toney, Jones ran. He didn't try to win the fight by knockout or stoppage which is the proper way to win a world title. Michael Nunn actually stood right in front of Toney and just out-boxed him, Jones couldn't do that.

juy stay off the drink son, taylor looked better against hop than jones did....paleeeease, mccallum looked very old in that fight and roy pissed it, nunn got clocked jones won nearly every round, ice was competetive but then rematch time and its bye bye monty, louy got a good kd but thats about it, he lost just about every other round, ill give u tarver ko and johnson ko but tarver 1 and 3 were close.
Give the man some credit he was a very good fighter

Why do u hate Roy Jones soo much?? Is it cos he outshone Eubank and Benn who are 2 of ur favroite boxers?

i admit, RJJ didnt actualy have much to write home about at 160 or 175, But at 168 the guy was an alien freak. see how he makes p4p no1 JT look like a drunken novice & watch the combo's he lets out on Paz, Thornton etc. simply amazing talent, real power in his lightning combo's & mesmorising speed to get out the way

pre-Watson Eubank coulda stopped him & Nige Benn coulda caught him, but really RJJ was on another planet to any body else in the boxing game at his v.best

I honestly hate this whole ducking fighters thing ... unless someone gives up their belt, without even trying to defend it, you can't say a fighter ducked anyone. There's a lot of behind the scenes negotiation that none of us are privy to, so it's an argument that cannot be proved or won. And ducking Tyson and Lewis? You're talking about a natural middle-weight ducking Lewis who was the heavy-weight champ and about 250lbs?
