From 140-147, Cotto is not overrated. At 154, yes.
Cotto has always been overrated

Todays fan doesn't really care about boxing. They just care about the country or ethnic origin that the fighter that they like is from nowadays.
What does overrated mean today? You lose to a better fighter, and thus you're overrated.Comment

Trinidad was one-dimensional and spent a little time on the seat of his pants. Trinidad was tough and resiliant but I have never seen what others saw in him. And he didnt just lose to BHop. He got embarrassed. If I remember correctly (just to show you how overrating goes) I was the only observer that knew he had no chance against Hopkins.LOL.
Trinidad to many people earned the first legitimate win over Pernell Whitaker. He was the first to have a recorded win over DLH. Yes i thought he won, i had it 5-2-1 for DLH after 8 rounds, and he than he took the last four rounds off thinking he had it in the bank.
Trinidad defended his IBF title, like 17 times, and was also the first to beat Yuri Boy Campos, in which many thought he would lose to the Mexican who was like 53-0. He also gave Vargas his first loss, this is a guy who had wins over Ike Quartey and Winky Wright.
The first Trinidad loss was to one of the greatest middleweights of all time. A guy who defended his title 20 times. BTW, i am not a big fan Trinidad fan also.
Trinidad vs Cotto Resume? Trinidad wins hands down.
Camacho vs. Cotto? Camacho's career runs circles around Cotto. He won titles in three divisions, and none for a vacant title as Cotto did twice. He was champion in seven divisions if you include minor titles.
In 90 odd fights Camacho was never knocked out, Never. I don't care what people say about him getting on his bike, the guy got on the ring with guys like Limon, Rosario, Chavez, Trinidad, De La Hoya, Mancini, Ramirez, and Haugen it is an accomplishment. He beat five of those guys. He was undefeated to many people until he loss to Chavez, as his first loss to Haugen was due mainly on a bogus point deduction.
He also was the first to KO Sugar Ray Leonard. People say he beat an old SRL and Duran. But Camacho was no spring chicken either. The guy was in the ring for 16 or 17 years when he beat those guys. Also SRL made excuses that due to an injury he would have beat him.
Camacho beat more hall of famers than Cotto. His hand speed makes Cotto speed look like a joke in comparison. At super feathweight Camacho's speed perhaps could only be rivaled by Mayweather in recent times. He was more durable than Cotto. He had a longer career than Cotto. Fought in more weight divisions. CAMACHO's accomplishments run circles around Cotto.
As for Camacho, I was always a huge fan. But he did do a lot of flat out running. And he did beat a shell of Leonard. My point is not that these fighters shouldnt be celebrated. My point is that they dont out shine Cotto so much that he can be wiped from history. You have to be mentally ******ed to talk about Cotto like some dime a dozen fighter. I cant even entertain an arguement about him falling short of the IHOF. He's in.Comment
