I knew he'd lose tonight, it was obvious. But you wouldnt listen, just a stay busy for the great Miguel cotto you said...
At 140 cotto was decent but overrated, he got wobbled by bums multiple times, and never took on any real killers.
Up to 147, gets smashed to bits by Margarito and quits. Gets past old Shane mosley in probably his best win, fights various other no marks.
Takes on pac, gets demolished, runs the whole second half of the fight but gets praised for showing "heart"
Fights a one legged rabi, wins and is suddenly an atg
Gets "revenge" over the re animated corpse of Margarito. Does not look impressive
Loses at least 9 rounds to faded floyd, cotto fans call it a "close fight"
Takes on young, hungry Austin Trout and loses in a landslide.
Cotto has always been B level

I don't see what Hatton has to do with this.
I've never been unrealistic about what Hatton is and isn't and I've never made excuses for his defeats
Unlike the cotto fansComment

I thought he lost against Clottey, no shame there cuz there was a time when Clottey was a beast that no one wanted to fight
I thought he beat Floyd but boxing politics would never allow it.
Lastly he turned down a career high payday against a Pac rematch to fight Trout for $1 million. This has to be one of the dumbest career moves a boxer has made in recent years.
Even tho he probably has nightmares of Pac and would get destroyed again, you don't turn down a career high payday to fight a young undefeated lion who has size and speed advantage on you.
Imagine Cotto going into the negotiations now with Pac, Floyd, Canelo, Martinez. They can laugh in his face at any offer and Cotto isn't young anymore.Comment
