I don't remember hearing that but I do remember Cotto not wanting to fight Paul Williams as well as Manny Pacquiao's answer being "no" when asked about fighting Paul Williams. Margarito didn't even want to fight Paul Williams but had to because he didn't want to get stripped of his title, because he wanted to go in the ring as a champion against Cotto. Williams had no real power and no defense. No defense against a counter puncher like Mayweather would be a nightmare. In order to keep Floyd at bay his opponent has to have a jab, and be able to crack when connecting. Williams was mostly pitty patting his punches and didn't really have a jab with authority. Quintana showed in the first match that Williams punch out put could be neutralized with technical boxing. Only thing Williams had over Floyd was height and reach but even with those advantages he still got touched by shorter guys with less or same reach as Mayweather.

A fly weight could drop Berto because he has no chin.

Floyd himself said he's now a 154lb fighter...he also stated he won't fight manny at 147...again get off his nuts...I used to be just like you in terms of swearing by everything Floyd...then I woke up and saw the game for it is "the game"

Yeah Im a couch potato that watched Hagler/Hearns ringside, lol. You got the wrong dude dude. I fought very successfully and still train to this day. Fighting is in the family dude. You speak of Floyd but what about the much older Marquez or Martinez? Floyd is a gym rat who takes great care of himself and can probably fight at a very high level until he's 40. Ever heard of Saoul Mamby who was kicking ass at near 50? What about Archie Moore, etc? Your not ready for none of this knowledge my dude so I suggest you get back to the couch. Fine somebody like yourself who don't really know **** about the game my dude.

The referrences you are making are years later when Paul was looking for payday's..two sanctioning bodies who mayweather held belts for stated "Paul Williams is the mandatory" at the time Paul held the third divisional belt so it would've been a unification bout Floyd walked away from...I don't doubt the other guys said no but it certainly wasn't when paul was named "the most feared man in boxing"..everyone was saying NO to him then..Mayweather included.

The scores were predicted to be what I originally thought (116-112) to the judges and I scored it the exactly same (116-111). I was a bit surprised to how it went though. The knock downs weren't that surprising since I don't think Berto takes shots very well but he gets up. What was surprising was Bertos face! Guererro showed he has some power there !

what were every1 else's scores? should make a thread on it.

I knew he could hang with Berto he's fit into the welter division well and no body can deny that. Was not shook once.

Guerrero needs to work on his defence a bit more, and he was eating those uppercuts like a buffet - can't be having too many shots like that if he is the 'smaller guy' but I don't believe he isn't one now. He has defo made his mark

OBVIOUSLY you never saw Guerrero at the lighter weights or you would have seen his 8 KO's in a row, a number of them one punch KO's on ESPN. I have!

just because he roughed a black guy who has been

So tired of the racists that can't live with a

                    Such stunning ******ity
So watching a slick, light hitting featherweight turn into a welterweight bull and questioning it makes me a racist. That's what's up.
