Leonard didn't look too bad? He looked terrible.

You could see his resistance wasn't there from the first round and if Camacho was a puncher, he'd have got him out of there in the first round.

This is a guy coming off 6 years inactivity and hadn't won a fight in even longer.

And you're telling me that's better than the win over Mosley for Cotto?

And you actually think that version of Leonard would beat Mosley?

And no, I'm not making out Mosley had the boxing skills or was as slick as Camacho because he wasn't. But Mosley had more than enough in the tank to beat a 40 year old Ray Leonard coming off 6 years inactivity.

It's completely and utterly ludicrous to consider those wins even comparabale.

What by throwing 10 punches a round and throwing 1 punch a time and holding?

Mosley would take him out with the first real clean hard shot he lands. Ray Leonard's resistance was almost none existent.

I rewatched the Camacho-Leonard fight last night and I did not remember how "out of it" Leonard seemed. He had no legs, no speed, and awful balance. Camacho landed a glancing blow in the first round and Leonard almost fell down. The only other fighter I remember seeing with bad balance in the first round after a comeback was Trinidad in the Mayorga fight, but he improved as the fight went on and almost looked like vintage Trinidad. Leonard did not improve against Camacho.

Your post is full of contradictions.

Come to your senses but yet keep doing it over and over and over and over. Yea ok buddy.
Contradictions? You know you like to talk ish about Cotto's career due to some of his dumbass fan. You know how it is. This was a Camacho thread and you could have defend clearly why Camacho was better. However you decide to include Duran and SRL wins as credible when everyone knows they are not good. For ****s sake, Judah was more of a challenge than SRL was to Camacho. You just cant hide it. Anyways, we agree on 90% of things except on your love of Cotto being bigger than the TS.

For all that inactivity going up against Camacho who was still really good, he didn't look terrible as many people. Yes I saw the fight.

Camacho is a much better mover than Mosley. Always have and always will. It's two completely different styles. I said both Duran/Leonard are better in my opinion than Cotto's win over Mosley. It's worked for several boxers before hasn't it? Pitty pat here and there, hold. Win! Even someone like Leonard could of seen someone like Mosley throwing at him, hell Ricardo Mayorga did.

Like I said you have your opinion and I have mine. Don't like it oh well. We can go back in forth in fantasy land but in the end both Leonard AND Duran are ATGs.

I haven't watched it in a long long time but I vividly remember how poor he looked.

The first round "slip" could easily have been called a knockdown IMO. But how he fell showed that he just wasn't there. Thank goodness he wasn't a real hard puncher otherwise he'd have been out of there in round 1.

In his prime, Mosley had power, lots of it; Speed, one of the fastest; And chin, possibly the best chin at the time rivaled only by DLH and Trinidad. That version of Mosley destroys the version of Leonard that Camacho fought.

Of course a prime Mosley kills him. A prime Mosley get's him out in one round.

The version of Mosley that Cotto fought is what's being talked about though.

Although, that version probably get's him out of there in one round aswell.

Not only about Cotto, I talk about everyone else as well. From Floyd's, to Pac's, to MEXICAN boxer's nuthuggers as well. It's not just Cotto. Get out of Cotto threads and you'll see.

Judah sucks, always has and always will. You may have a different opinion but oh well. That's what we're here for right? Talk about mostly our opinions.

The Mosley that Cotto fought was still very dangerous, but was seen as the old underdog. He did matched Cotto in punches landed, like identical numbers, exactly the same. Something like 240 something landed by each. Mosley also outlanded Cotto in power shots, landed more than 50% of his power shots.

A commentator once said if you land 50% or more of your power punches, it'll be very hard not to give you the decision unless your opponent landed even higher than you. Well Cotto landed like 15% less power punches than Mosley; forget about a draw, the win went to Cotto which still baffles me til today but it was MSG though.
