time and time again we learn that boxers > brawlers so why dont they change?

Some times a brawler is better than a boxer individually. Sure the style of boxing is superior to brawling, but there's always that chance that a boxer does not deal with pressure/brawlers well and it's happen plenty of times.

Good brawlers aren't one dimensional. If they can cut off the ring well and have solid power they can be a stylistic nightmare for boxers.

You cant outbox certain fighters.
If Mares woulda tried to do that vs Moreno he would have lost but you will see in his next fight he is going to be more slick vs the one dimentional Terrazas
you need to adapt and play to your strenghts
