Comparing knock downs of the fighters will get us no where, In my opinion Wlad would win against Louis. It would be because of size, speed, power and overall the intelligence of Wlad. Yes we know Wlad has a suspect chin, but recently who has even touched it. imo Louis, a fighter from an era in which sports science was virtually non existent just cannot compete with a supremely conditioned athlete of today, which is Wlad. Wlad just has too many variables over Louis.

I might be biased when it comes to Louis, but come on, I read people thinking that Wlad is ---faster--- than Louis, and has a better ---footwork---.

If people even dream of a reality where Wlad is faster than Louis, they should wake up and apologise.

Wladimir would brutally ko Joe Louis,he is to small and to slow,his footwork is no existent and he kept his left hand to low.

Joe Louis is only an inch shorter than Ross Purrity, roughly the same height as Lamon Brewster.

His handspeed is phenomenal. He has slow feet though, I will give you that.

His footwork is designed to give him angles and lead other fighters into traps. Like Marquez' footwork now.

His left hand is low because his head is low too and his shoulder is protecting his chin.

It would have been really tough for Louis based on size alone. I'm leaning toward Wlad, but I wouldn't be surprised if Louis caught him early and maybe stopped him.
