Angulo is coming off a bad KO loss and has had a lot of off time. Not too sure about K9 though. Am I satisfied with Canelo coming off a win against Lopez? If he was fighting Floyd or Sergio in May hell no. But sorry I just don't hold Cotto in the same regard as those two guys. The guy has had two bad KO losses and isn't exactly elite at 154 IMHO. Very good fighter but not elite sorry just how I see it. So we can just agree to disagree on that one.

You bring up the fact that he is the WBC light middleweight champion who has been fighting weak opposition. All the more better to fight Cotto. Look at it on the bright side if Alvarez loses like you think he does well then that obviously means he's not worthy of that title he wears. Kind of like Chavez Jr who eventually had to face Martinez. Of course unlike Jr. Canelo is not a lazy ass, smoke weed while training, living off my dad's name type fighter. Anyway it's obvious we're not going to change our opinions on the subject. Been fun debating but I'll stick with a late round TKO for Canelo and you stick with 4 rounds or less KO for Cotto. Either way I hope to see the fight happen soon.
So would you say he is ducking Lara for being a high risk fight? Or what would you call that

I think Canelo would fight him but De La Hoya makes that decision and he see's Lara as high risk. Listen I love the Cuban fighters right now. Rigo, Gamboa, Lara, and Abril. I think it sucks that they get screwed when it comes to politics. Now if by some remote chance Canelo got to fight Lara before Cotto then I'm all for that. Because I want the Cuban fighters to get their due. But knowing how the politics of boxing work I think DLH would put gingerkid in with Cotto before Lara due to the money it would bring.

So you're turning it into Delahoya is ducking the big fights and not Alvarez? nice. I'll look forward to the big fights Alvarez has nonetheless. I want to see him work his way up to Mayweather or Cotto or Martinez and not just boom gets right in there with them. But I agree Rigo is getting screwed

Come on now what else would it be? I'm from the school of thought that no professional prizefighter is scared of one another. These guys fight and hurt each other for a living. But boxing is a business and can be a corrupt one at that. Why do you think these fighters always say " It's up to my promoter to make the fight. If he says it's ok I will fight him." If the fighters had the power like I'm pretty sure we all wish they did we'd have been seeing all the good matchups years ago.

Anyway looking forward to Lara's fight with Vanes. I've never even seen Vanes fight so I'll have to do some research on the guy but I hope Lara beats him. Rigo has a tough one too coming up against Poonsawat or whatever the hell his name is but I hope the Cuban pulls through that one.

I think Canelo stops Cotto for the simple fact, Cotto is not tough.

Cotto has been lunchmeat after the extensive processing Margarito and Pacquiao gave him. He's there to be eaten (surprisingly, Floyd couldn't do it). Canelo possibly ends Cotto's career at this stage.
