Canelo is too much for Cotto..
I don't think I wanna see Cotto take another beating, I like the guy.

That's exactly what he'll do, until Cotto gives him no other option but to switch gears. Cotto has to get him to switch gears and then tire him out, before he tires out himself. Problem is, Cotto doesn't absorb punishment well, so I expect him to come with his boxing hat on. Canelo aims to break the opponent down, but he doesn't go looking for it until the moment is staring him right in the face. Canelo has the physical advantages to stop him, but I don't think he has the style nor the mentality to do so. We will see.

How could Canelo not have the Mentality and/or style to finish Cotto, if he's had the mentality this whole time! I could see Cotto backpedaling to a T.k.O stoppage or taking a knee, Canelo has the perfect style IMO I don't know what your'e talking about!

What I'm saying is, Canelo doesn't go into the ring with the "I'm gonna stop this guy no matter what" mentality. He's more of the "I'm gonna out-box and out-punch him, and if stoppage comes, so be it" kinda fighter. He's a boxer-puncher, not a pressure fighter. I expect him to have respect for Cotto like he did against Mosley. IDK how long that phase will last, but he's not going to **** Cotto out in the first 6 rounds. I expect it to be a boxing match with a lot of back-and-forth action. If he hurts Cotto in an exchange, i don't expect him to go after Cotto right away. He'll take his time and break Cotto down gradually. Cotto getting stopped is not a given.

Canelo is the favorite in my opinion... He's bigger, hits harder, more comfortable at the weight, and unlike Margarito, he doesn't just walk forward making it easy for Cotto to outbox him

K I get you, but when the opportunity arises for the K.O. Canelo definitely will close the show! We'll just have to wait and see; then see what all the Canelo Doubters will have to say!

                Canelo fucking murders Cotto, easily
people think Cotto is back since he bloodied Floyd's nose in a loss
if Cotto beats Trout, wouldn't mind seeing Canelo take him out

Cotto will dominate him if this fight happens in 2013.

Too many people are falling victim to the Bute effect. Someone fights garbage competition, in this case former lightweights who just moved up in weight and now have no speed and no power, then gets obiterated when they finally face real competition.

Look at the list of names on cotto's resume compared to canelo. The level they have been fighting at is not even close. Its easy to look good against bums. People were talking nonsense that Bute could beat ward and then he got obliterated and the truth comes out. Same thing happens here.
