bam bam is going to take the payday-he'd be ****** not to. but go watch a film of davey moore-roberto duran to find out what happens when a young guy with all balls and no defense fights a HOF who still has something left.

or drive to oxnard and ask fernando about fighting tito and ODH.

It's not because rios will be going up in weight or how rios is not on mannys level. It's none of that its for the fact that PAC will put rios out. Just look at it like this, they complain that manny never fights a young fighter, well how old is rios??
we don't want it because we want floyd vs manny. almost any fight for manny outside of floyd is as unacceptable to us as is almost any floyd fight without manny is unacceptable to manny fans.

Actually a very good point. I was trying to think of a parallel, and Moore v Duran is a good one.

And this fight is no worse than the floyd-ortiz fight
Come again? Ortiz beat Berto in a bout that won fight of the year to collect the WBC Welterweight strap.

Rios beat Alavardo at Jr Welterweight in a fight that could win fight of the year, before that he cheated the scales and won by way of robbery against Abril.

Rios hasn't beaten a top Jr Welterweight let a top 5 Welterweight.

the only difference is duran went to 154 to fight davey. bam bam would be going to 147 to fight manny.

this will end very badly for brandon.

$60 to watch Manny work a heavybag, no thanks Larry, you old sack-o-shit. Hopefully Marquez will put an end to all the shenanigans.

Davey Moore was a much more polished boxer style than Duran. He had an extensive amatuer career and he was about 4-5 inches taller than Duran. Moore was a career 154, and Duran was a career 135. I completely fail to see the comparison, as Rois couldn't box his way out of a USPS flat rate.
The blueprint to beat Rios is already there. There is no blueprint to beat Pacquiao convincingly.

Pac has to beat Marquez first and I honestly don't see that happening.

the comparison is moore was a young fighter, in against an opponent FAR superior to him. Moore didn't have the skill or experience to deal with Duran. Manny/rios is no different.
