To me, Ward is like a younger, more athletic version of Hopkins. Seems like a real bad fight for Pavlik. I'd rather see him in there with Froch or Dawson. Those would likely be good fights, as long as they would have lasted.

Best case scenario for both guys. Easy work for SOG to stay active w/o risk. Best payday for Kelly but if he competes even a bit, he opens up potential bouts with legit contenders for the SOG. Money coming and going.

You give Bernard too little respect. He'd likely lose, being close to 50 now, but he'd put up a decent fight. Bernard would have been a seriously dangerous fight for Ward if he were to drop 20 years somehow.

Really surprised Pavlik is taking this fight. Ward wins every round.

Pavlik should get outworked, but there is a risk. At least there should be, if Pavlik still has a decent punch in him(no, that doesn't mean I said Ward has a crappy defense - to any idiots out there...). Don't forget, Pavlik isn't garbage. He did beat the guy that beat a younger Bernard. Not many can do that, still.

Pavlik tags Ward and stuns him....Ward hangs on and wins a UD but loses a few rounds along the way.
