ward doesn't have punching power and pavlik has one of the best chins around so even though ward dominates him i highly doubt he stops him. ward has run through everyone and has run out of legitimate fights so this is really the only thing out there for ward besides direll but direll signed that tmt contract so that might keep him out of the mix a bit. ward done a number on this division who else is there really? oosthuziun, stevenson, and edwin rodriguez but those are all guys who haven't quite risen to the elite level.

I know everyone's writing off Pavlik and so am I. I don't think he has a chance. Having said that he deserves another shot. Froch is tied up, Andre Dirrel obviously doesn't want to fight ward, Anthony Dirrell does but he disappears for years at a time, Jr is smoking pot hanging out in mansions in pink underwear, Bute got KO'd and is still recovering. Who the hell else is he gonna fight? In Boxing anything can happen...

I got Ward on this. I just don't see the pop in Pavliks punches anymore. Anyway, they have to make this in Vegas or Boardwalk Hall. Time for Ward to travel some, he can't fight in Oakland his whole life.

THE most pointless fight in boxing that can be made. Pavlik lost his soul to Hopkins, and Ward is that version of Hopkins x 10. Get Pavlik in against a guy like Froch, Kessler or Bute.

Pavlik isn't an upgrade over Dawson but he's another big name fighter at 168 who Ward can add to his resume
