I'm thinking that Pavlik just wants a big money fight as quick as possible.

Otherwise he'd be better off waiting for one of the other 168 pounders to free themselves up.

Biggest mistake of Pavlik's career - fighting Bernard Hopkins. Second biggest mistake - fighting Ward.

Funny thing is, both of these are totally unnecessary fights for Pavlik. He should be looking at the the kessler, abraham, froch, & bute's of the world. If those guys are not availible, look at Rodriguez, and guys like that. Just stay away from Ward!

He doesn't need to fight Ward but it is a great opportunity for him because he doesn't even need to win to gain from the fight just look like he belongs in the same ring. Plus considering where Pavlik came from it might be harder to get up for up and comers (or soft touches) than a fight with a guy like Ward who is clearly the top guy.

It is kind of risky but with where Pavlik currently is, Ward would be the quickest path back to the top.

Why do people act like Andre Dirrel don`t exist?This is the same Dirrel who arguably beat Froch before Ward did and he also beat Abraham.Also there`s upcoming Adonis Stevenson,if he can beat the Bute/Froch winner he would be a good opponent for Ward plus Stevenson would have a belt to unify with Ward.There`s also Anthony Dirrel whose a big skilled Boxer-power puncher who should be healed up by early next year if not already.

Because Andre Dirrell is a mental midget. He has had 1 fight in the last two years and doesnt seem the full shilling.

It's funny how Pavlik got cold feet on Carl Froch. Ward won't hurt him as much as Froch would've. Froch probably would've KO'd him. Now he'll just take a 12 rounds whoopin instead of getting KO'd. We just bashed the UFC for making Silva vs Bonnar and this is exactly the same thing! Pathetic really. Has anyone else noticed that Ward does'nt seem to care about proving anything anymore?

Froch took a bit of a breather by fighting Yusaf Mack. Why can't Ward take a breather by fighting Pavlik?
