      • Pacquiao will have slipped pretty far off the map if he loses to a tailor made style like Rios.

Pac surprised me with his performance against Bradley. I though he was gonna lose due to his age and wear and tear of years in boxing. But i did noticed that his conditioning/cardio is not the same anymore. Seems to breath harder in the middle rounds. Like i said before, take out either his speed or cardio, Pac is done.

I am rooting for Pac to win but i think JMM wins this time. Not because JMM is the better fighter. While JMM gives fits to Pac, Pac has done a good job of fighting him with his speed, output of punches, cardio, and aggresive fighting. Which resulted in Pac winning 2 closed fights and a draw. But take out his cardio/conditioning, his aggresiveness and output of punches will be affected even though he will still have speed. Pac is on the downhill of his career due to age and wear and tear of the body.

Not defending this fight at all since neither deserves the fight but to be fair Pac IS a blown up JWW.

            • if and only if Manny fights both guys on the same night...other than that, neither name should be in the same sentence as Pacquiao

BTW, I think Pacquiao has a much better resume than Floyd.
idk in the last 3-4 years pacquiaos wins have only been a big deal because he is looked at as a smaller fighter not because his opponents were considered great at the time if anything his opponents were at their worst when they fought manny except for bradley

People everyone (Floyd Haters) were claiming that he was ducking all the top welterweights and only fought smaller guys. It was a constant topic of conversation on forums like this one. Fast forward to 2012. Manny Pacquaio, who has fought as a welterweight or higher 7 or 8 times compared to the 4 times Mayweather had prior to the Hatton fight, in consecutive fights has fought then lightweight JMM, then jr welterweight champ Timothy Bradley, about to fight JMM, and is now talking about fight another jr welterweight in the Rios-Alvarado winner. Where is the outcry people? Its obvious that Pac is picking on smaller fights, much like Mayweather "did" a couple years ago (said in the most sarcastic tone possible).
You must be joking right? Please say you were joking? Right?

When Floyd fought Hatton the 147 division was stacked with names such as Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, P. Williams .....

Right now the 147 division is in shambles once you get passed the top 2 guys.

So its NOT the same thing ... not even close.

Rios can hardly make the lower divisions anymore so the jump to 147 may need to happen eventually but I agree that Manny shouldn't be fighting no Rios-Alvarado winner next since these guys need to prove that they can fight at 147 before they face Manny.

I concur. Pac is a natural 140 pounder fighting at welterweight. It's acceptable for him to fight any top 140 pounder, especially marketable ones like Rios/Alvarado if there's a spectacular knockout/fight.
