He could just focus on politics until Mayweather decides to box again, that way nobody can interfere.

    Did you forget Ellerbe's statement?
Fight will take place when and where Mayweather wants. Floyd will dictate the terms.

EVERYONE wanted Floyd to fight Mosley, and Shane was the #2 ranked WW and the #3 P4P fighter are dominating Margarito. Everyone said Floyd wouldn't even take that fight. That was a good fight when he fought Mosley.

Ortiz was coming off beating the #2 WW in Berto, and what should have been a W over Peterson as well. Plenty of people were saying Floyd wouldn't fight Ortiz coming off along layoff or even at all, because it was too much of a risk.

And Cotto was the #1 SWW, and a very important fighter for Floyd to get on his resume from his era. He was the best fight available aside from Manny for Floyd.

Manny and Floyd BOTH fought the best fights available last time out for them outside of each other, of course.

And Shade Darker is far from a fan boy man.
Misunderstand one of his comments. So I corrected mine and I apologize!

BTW, I think Pacquiao has a much better resume than Floyd.

And yes, cry all you want but Floyd is marked by the Boxing public as having played a role in the fight not happening and that will be remembered in Boxing history.
No crying over here I stated FACTS! I like both fighters, and I am a boxing fan in general but for number sake Floyd sells more. That's why when Floyd fought Oscar, Oscar was the bigger draw he got the higher split 70/30 and called all the shots. It's business. Who ever Pac fight's that is not named Mayweather who will get the lion share??

I know we are used to seeing Pac being in the lead role, but if you break down numbers he isn't up there with Floyd, it is 55-45 60-40 for Floyd which isn't a wide gap. But for boxing that is a psychological disadvantage to take less money when you are normally the bigger draw.

Mayweather is playing mental games with Pac, chess before they fight because they will. And to me is really trying to get arum out of the picture, because at this point of both their careers do they need him to promote this fight?? I PUT GOOD MONEY, everybody here and who barely watches boxing will tune into that fight with or without arum promoting it.

And how much more money would that mean for Floyd and mainly Pac?? But yeah I call it how I see it, both very great fighters and talented, but the main ROADBLOCK is arum, who openly said he blocked Chavez form Sergio...

Now if he can do that once, can't he do it again?

Great, let that be the case then, therefore Mayweather can't have any reasons as to why it can't be made. It's easy, just call his bluff.

The only way for this fight to be fair is to have 3 outside Business Accountants who work in Boxing look at all revenues and put an exact figure to what they earn and split it that way. It could 65/35 in favor of Floyd or 61/39 or even 57/43, whatever but there is an exact mathematical equation that would be fair based on an analysis that no one has done so far. The results could be made public and if a fighter turns them down, they would be to blame.

Bob Arum doesn't want any accountants looking too closely at Pacquiao's figures. Remember Vision Qwest?

                • Why does Manny need Arum anyway? Manny is signing to Arum to get a Rios fight bwahahaha....That shit don't make any sense. Its obvious Manny is signing with Arum so Arum can continue protecting Manny from Floyd. Manny doesn't need a promoter to make a fight, he only needs one if his hiding somethiing and Arum is the right man for that, which is no wonder Manny is sticking with Bob.

                  • not that i dont love a good Fl0mos vs Pac stans fight here on this website but i think this has gotten out of hand. I mean it started as a Rios-ALvarado thread and somehow Floyd was brought into all this. BUt i guess its cuz Floyd is the face of Boxing and therefore needs to be mentioned everywhere and anyway that is related to boxing?? Idk

                    • I see no problem with this to be honest, the outcome seems likely though but I've always said I wanted to see Pacquiao face a Rios, Alvarado, Matthysse, Danny Garcia, young fighters on the rise. Manny ain't in his prime anymore, I get the feeling people are overestimating his abilities.
