You do know that Team Mayweather was already in negotiation with Team Khan even before Khan's fight with Garcia, don't you? (Links are all over the place for that.) You also know Floyd fought Ortiz. Having seen Vic's fights in totality as well as Khan's, you don't really think Ortiz and Khan are more qualified than Alvarez, do you?

Just wondering where this Alvarez is not qualified bs is coming from.
Yes, that's exactly what I mean. He did this after the Mosley fight, and he looks to be doing it again.

As far as Alvarez, I don't think that's a fight that excites Floyd or that he cares about at all. That's all I'm talking about. Floyd isn't going to come back unless it's Pac or someone like Ortiz, that he can walk in, beat, and walk out again.

I thin Floyd knows the payday he can get with Alvarez, but also at the same time he knows that Alvarez isn't a realistic fight right now. Alvarez hasn't done anything for anyone to believe he's going to competitive against Floyd. Even Victor Ortiz, who had beaten down Berto pretty good, had people thinking he could at least be competitive against a 34 year old Floyd.

Floyd knows that to get any sort of credit for beating Alvarez, that Alvarez has to get some legit/good wins first.

It's been established that Floyd is scared of Pac. 50cent verified that for fans. But it looks like Floyd's going to have to choose between the lesser of two evils with a huge difference in potential PPV numbers. And we all know that Schaefer and Floyd have been working together for the last couple of years and Alvarez is on top of GBP's list. At this point Alvarez is more dangerous than smaller Pac whom fans say is past his prime. So you may be right in a way. It's either Pac in mid 2013 (which means another looooooooong vacation), or most likely Guerrero early next year.

Had Khan beaten Garcia, he'd have wins over Malignaggi/Maidana/Judah/Garcia and arguably a win over Peterson. He'd have solid wins, but Khan lost anyway.

Alvarez has no solid wins yet. He doesn't get a Floyd fight in my opinion until he beats Cotto/Trout, and than a Kirkland/Molina/Lara or something.
Thats just ******..Floyd would be 37 by then
