I thin Floyd knows the payday he can get with Alvarez, but also at the same time he knows that Alvarez isn't a realistic fight right now. Alvarez hasn't done anything for anyone to believe he's going to competitive against Floyd. Even Victor Ortiz, who had beaten down Berto pretty good, had people thinking he could at least be competitive against a 34 year old Floyd.

Ortiz's win over Berto is not exactly a dominating win. The decision would have gone the other way had Berto been just slightly active in the last round. I thought it was a see-saw fight. It was still a win, but Ortiz is in no way a better fighter than Canelo. Alvarez may be fighting lesser known opponents, but he dominated them all in clear impressive fashion.

Floyd knows that to get any sort of credit for beating Alvarez, that Alvarez has to get some legit/good wins first.

Funny that Canelo is getting all this flak for fighting so-called bums, but when he says he wants Floyd da best he gets the same flak. Floyd is probably one fight away from retirement. You can't reason when them, they ALWAYS have an excuse to defend Floyd. Then they go on and on about Manny despite hating his guts, it's weird but it is what it is.

Uncle Roger was talking about Bradley and Pac for Floyd the other day being worth $200 million. Small guys. All of a sudden he's admitting that they can fight Top Rank fighters without any issues.

Which is why there's something ducky going on in the Mayweather camp. Here's Canelo, Shaefer's and Hoya's guy, standing in front of them ready for the picking.
