I've never seen anyone knock Rigondeaux's amateur career. When someone is that dominate in the amateur's it will translate to the pros almost every time. Rigondeaux turned pro very late in his career and had no choice but to get on the fast track. What he's done for a guy with 11 fights is impressive.

But for a 32 year old with two Olympic gold medals, 2 world cup medals and considered one of the greatest amateur's ever, his resume isn't very good.
Sooooo what you're saying is he shouldve been fighting someone like Agbeko or Vic from day one? No top name is gonna fight a threat like Rigo so Arum has to find him the guys with nothing to lose everything to gain.

And why are people feeding the troll TS? He brought up Leo Santa Cruz when he knows GBP and TR ain't gonna make that happen.

If Rigo wants a shot at Donaire, he better fight either of those 2 first and beat them in a fashionable way (which i hope he does), coz if it's gonna be close, then a fight with Donaire will have to wait a li'l longer.

He still #1, not Donaire, not Rigo, not Mares, not Moreno. You can try your best to discredit him, if he as easy as you're trying to make him out to be, Why hasn't Rigo fought him yet? i'll wait

this is what irks me about rigo fans...they criticize donaire for fighting guys ranked in the top ten sbw division yet their guy rigo has just fought an okay prospect, and before that he fought teon kennedy lol.

I consider the Teon fight more of a stay busy, it was a bullshyt fight but it happened. But how can anyone give Nonito shyt for fighting Nish is beyond me.

I m a boxing fan..i want to watch good competitive fights..i watched close to a 100 of rigo fights, against top guys, not talking abouth mathebula..i said guys who impress me more than donaire..i watch him fight alot,a cordova cardin tournament in Cuba is harder to win that any championship here..he fought gamboa, Franco, abril and many other who stay in Cuba but are world level fighters..this guy is a master..his skill levels are above every fighter of our times..i want to see him against donaire because i consider donaire an exelent fighter and i want to see a competitive fight..i m sorry..but i think that agbeko, darchiyan, wvj, mathebula, arce, mares, ndvou and most of the top 10 122 won't make a competitive fight for rigo...but u just watch 10 rigo fights against an opposition whom u guys call c level based of combined was 146-3-2 in his last 5 ..i understand that u didn't know him soo u don't trust in his skills..but donaire vs rigo will be amazing!!!

I'm actually surprised to read this coming from you. Rigo has eleven pro fights. At which point do you think he would've gotten a fight with Nishioka? (Or any other big name, for that matter.) After his fifth contest? Do you honestly think Guille says, "Hey, Bobby, get me 'So-an-so'" and it happens just like that?

Rigondeaux is a great boxer who's just starting his pro career. He has no pull. He's not Donaire, who obviously gets to choose whomever he wants at 122. In fact, while Nonito's in the division, Guille has less choice than ever. The top guys are sitting around waiting for their Donaire lottery ticket to arrive. No one wants to jeopardize that by accepting a fight with the "high risk, little reward" Rigondeaux.

People can criticize Rigo all they want, but this notion that Guillermo can land top fights at will is just silly.
