More power to Ortiz if that's who he decides to go with. I honestly think that Sr. spends more time talking and bragging about what he can still do at his age than what he actually teaches boxers now days. Not sure if Golden Boy really recommended Sr, but there are other trainers out there that would be good for Ortiz. I always wondered why Oscar parted ways with long time trainer and mentor Robert Alcazar.

i don't mind it. Here's my reasoning:
- ORtiz is intrinsically motivated when it comes to putting in the work at training. He isn't the type of guy who needsa a trainer on his ass to motivate him to put in the physical work required. This fits well with Sr who isn't known to babysit fighters to train/run, and do the required fitness work. This only leaves Sr to teach him some fundamental offensive and defensive stuff, which with Vic's work ethic he may be able to apply. I don't see how he could do much better than Sr TBH. Who else is there?
