Both guys are as big as it gets in the sport, and have shown to do great PPV #'s with similar competition. Both did well with Cotto, Mosley, Marquez, and Hatton. While the Clottey and Bradley fights were no names to the masses, still wasn't bad considering it was a one man show carrying the event. Either way, because Floyd is the better showman, i think while 50/50 is fair from a popularity standpoint, Floyd is a better salesman, and can sell better than anyone else right now on hype alone, and might have a gripe about the bigger cut. Either way, I wish it was about legacy, and not dollars.

P.S. If that Asian chick in your default is your gf....i bow down.....ive been with almost all races of women, but never an Asian. lol
Off topic first... no it's not I do wish though haha.

On topic I think the Clottey and Bradley fights are the difference maker, specially when compared to Ortiz. Also in account is the DLH numbers, but biggest to look at is ortiz where mostly one man carried the show the numbers are differ a lot more. I do agree 55-45 is fair enough for me, but I really don't think to Floyd specially because Arum is involved that he'll go for that. Getting this fight made is as big a fight Arum-Floyd as Manny-Floyd in the ring imo.

Nothing is speculation in this day and age. Whe're have you been hiding, homey? You can ask Fifty.

Fifty had said Floyd has no sense of urgency.

Koncz was quoted as saying, "Floyd has his agenda and he has a right to make his decisions on his timeline and we respect that. On the other hand, we don't want to sit idle either. Some boxers can sit for months at a time and not be affected by that."

Yeah it is. There is personal emotional issues here that are also stopping this. As for the DLH, i will admit Floyd did sell it well, but Oscar did hold the previous record before when he fought Tito (not counting Tyson Lewis) in a non HW. Every Oscar fight made crazy money, so i have to say that while the 2.4 buys was huge, Oscar was i like to say about 65% of the reason why. As for Ortiz, I personally compare that fight the Mannys Mosley fight, only because i thought that Mosley fight would flop given how washed up he was, and how awful he looked against Mora, and Floyd. Either way, both did good numbers. Though i do think its worth mentioning that Floyd fights once a year compared to Manny, so the anticipation i think is much greater for when he does fight.

You are da funny mang , LMAO

YOU can 't think out da box mang.

Pac has been trying to get the fight but because Jr is chicken and knows that he won't get that fight in Dec he has made his offer to lure Jr in

Your speculation is that Pac hasn't approached Jr before settling with JMM

Pac settled with JMM cause JR has once again CHICKENED OUT MANG

All you Floydiots don't want to accept what you hearing from Manny, team Pac and Koncs... OK, then just hear it from somebody from Floyd's side then, 50cent was interviewed a couple of times and was saying, originally TMT was actually made to be a partnership between 50, Floyd and Manny, just like Golden Boy was with Oscar, Mosley and Hopkins, Oscar fought with this two but they eventually earned more with the partnership.. So TMT was banking on the same formula as that with GBP, two rivals partnering to make the biggest, baddest mega promotional company ever... TMT was initially intended to make the superfight with Floyd/Manny as a launch pad, just like the Oscar and Hopkins fight, but only much much bigger. They intended to make the superfight early next year, that's why it took Manny quite a while in choosing Marquez for the fight in December, there were even leakages that Manny was gonna cancel the fight in December in favor for a 2013 fight with Floyd... This would have been the two divas retirement package, imagine a trilogy between this two would have earned TMT close to around a BILLION dollars, and would be earning more still after they retire and concentrate on just promoting....... then Floyd back down.....

That brings up a very valid point, I think that does have a lot to do with it too. It also may be marketing on his side, where people see a lay-off and wonder... will this be the time he'll show ring rust? Anticipation and the thought that maybe the break somehow caused him to lose his abilities.

Also something I take into account is Floyd has 2 types of fans, where I think Manny only has one. Manny have his fans that love to see him fight and support him. Floyd has his fans that love to see him fight and support him...as well as his fans that would love to see him lose and want to see it happen. That's another factor I think that plays into sales, look at the boards... Floyds name is brought up everywhere good or bad, either way its all publicity one way or another.

There are a lot of factors going into both sides sales which makes it hard to see why fights do what they do. Especially when the fighters are pretty much polar opposites.
