Wouldn't mind it as a quick stay busy fight, but I'd prefer Ward fought Andre Dirrell, Campillo, or even a Rodriguez or Stevenson over Pavlik right now.

I'd much rather see Chavez-Pavlik at 168 in the Spring, with the winner fighting Abraham.

It doesn't count on Ward's resume. It just makes no sense to fight some one who just got destroyed in that fashion. Especially a top fighter like Ward, much more is expected of him now. Bute has a fight against Grachev, the guy who upset Silakh. That's a good comeback fight and winnable fight for Bute. Let him at least get two or three wins. Why would you want him to have back to back losses. You know that's all it would end up being, just back to back losses to Froch and Ward.

Ward's only real options that make sense are Dirrell and Pavlik at 168. Otherwise he should just move up to 175. He already beat Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Bika. Bute couldn't even do what Ward asked him to do, which is beat Froch and you get a fight. He was far from doing that. Now that's a step backward. But Bute isn't the bum or hypejob people like to label him. A bum does not dominate Glen Johnson and Sakio Bika like he did. So it's not the end of the world for Bute, he can beat Grachev which is a decent win, then try to beat Abraham and all of a sudden he's back in the picture and call out guys like Ward and Froch again. Right now he's not in that position.

I'd love to see Ward vs Campillo at 175. Campillo should be the IBF LHW champ right now.

Campillo is the Abril of LHW. He should have wins over Murat and Cloud.

I"d prefer Dirrell, Bute, or a rematch with Kessler over a Pavlik fight, however I wouldn't hate too much. Pavlik is a big name that will draw and a well-deserved easier fight for Ward.

After pavlik's three hard years of recovering I think he deserves atleast a shot at ward.

God no. Pavlik got battered by an old Hopkins. Ward is a much better version of the Hopkins that Kelly fought. Kelly won't land a single punch.

if an old, way post prime B-Hop did his way with Pavlik... whats Ward going to do?... this would be another mayweather-gatti affair

I didn't mean for Ward to fight him now, straight after losing to Froch. I just mean in general.I wanted him to face Bute before Froch tbh. I still think its an interesting fight and completely different from Froch-Bute.

Im just responding to this idea that Ward has "beaten everyone" or "cleaned up 168". There are a couple guys I'd still like to see him fight. Much more than anyone at 175 which is dead.

Personally, for Ward's next fight, I'd like to see him fight Campillo. Campillo really beat Shumenov, Murat, and Cloud, he's the Abril of 175.

The only other fighters available would be Dirrell at 168, who I feel should win a fight over a decent fighter first, or up and comers like Stevenson and Rodriguez. Oosthuizen is there, but he wouldn't even fight Froch, so I doubt he'd fight Ward.

Ward-Campillo is what I'm hoping for. Easy fight to make, Campillo would go to Oakland no doubt to fight Ward.
