Serious question. How is Martinez/Floyd the same as Martinez/Ward?

Duran won a world title jumping 2 weights against a supreme champ in Leonard, your wrong man accept it. And BTW i prefer the fight at 160! Sergio didn't allow Chavez to wreck him on the inside like many thought he would. He probably doesn't have a complete inside game like Mayweather, but he's far from Amir Khan. Floyd is not above getting caught with shots himself, saw how he got caught ******ly by Cotto with a jab in the middle of the ring? Everyone gets caught, it's just that Floyd is more defensively responsible. Martinez dropping his hands is an invitation for a counter and I doubt Floyd will answer that door often. We know Floyd likes to force southpaws on the back-foot, but that's where Sergio desires to be. Floyd's high guard during these moments leaves him vulnerable for a straight left, and Sergio is fast enough and long enough to land it. Both are ring generals, so this fight is extremely intriguing to me. I would only choose Floyd because I've learned to never pick against him, but a 100% healthy Martinez @154 is capable of winning.

Sergio moved up because he found a great opportunity in Pavlik, and LMW wasn't the hot-bed for talent like it is now. After he beat Williams, he was calling out Mayweather/Cotto, and hasn't stopped ever since.

Cotto has a awkard jab that catches everybody; the right hook or cross is the punch the Southpaws have got Floyd with he's great taking somebody money punch. I think Sergio knows Floyd ring IQ is to a point where instead leading with the straight right if Sergio keeps hands down which opens him up for straight left counter he feights and leads with a right or left hook which leaves Sergio more vulnerable it is intruiging to say the least.

he said it after the froch fight if im not mistaken. im positive it was said. either way, if serg wanted to challenge himself he would absolutely fight ward. thats a big fight, as long as both fighters are willing to make it happen it could. i think serg would lose, but thats a better fight for him than floyd as far as challenges go. there is no doubt about that.

i would love to see serg vs. floyd tho. but i have my doubt about serg making 154 and floyd would indeed be the much smaller man, thats a very risky fight for him, just as ward is a very risky fight for martinez. to me its the same situation and i like all 3 fighters. whats funny is hearing ppl act like its not.
