A rematch should not be granted because of the KD it only happened because Martinez didn't cruise the last round and still went for the kill.

As ****** as it was it just makes Martinez more of a legend in my book, to outclass a guy for 11 rounds and then still want to hurt and stop a guy with a chin and 20 pound weight advantage, and with only a KO chance of winning the fight to still go for the kill and fight back after being knocked down in my opinion makes him the top dog in the sport.

I know Mayweather hasn't lost but you would never get Mayweather fighting like that aganst a guy that much bigger than him in the last round of a fight he has dominated.

The rematch should only happen if Martinez wants it and makes him a substantal amount of money.

I'm praying he makes money by fighting money and honestly think he will give Floyd hell.

I'm fine either way if they rematch or they don't. You can make arguments on both sides if it's deserved or it's not, but it would be interesting. The fight had great buildup and a really entertaining 24/7, and it would be even better with how that first fight ended. I think the fight itself would be better as well. Jr would know he has the chance to hurt Martinez and I expect he'd come in with more reckless abandon, which would probably lead to 1 of them being KO'ed.

If its such an easy victory for martinez then he and his fans should be clamoring for a re-match,the truth is martinez, was almost was decapitated in that last round and there should be a rematch at least for BOTH fighters sake,For Chavez it 'd be to redeem himself learnfrom his mistakes and confirm the notion that he can hurt and KO this guy as he almost did.

For martinez it would be to erase that 12th round where he miraculousley survived,that fight will be remmebered' for that, he looked like a pile of dogshiat after he got hurt,he's extremley lucky because the ref couldve waved it off he barley got up off canvass second time,Martinez got hit with stuff ive never seen him get hit with 6 consecutive punches to the head.it tainted his victory and that has to be humiliating for him and his fans,having that replayed over and over

Martinez sustained a lot of injuries at least all the serious ones,as soon as he heals he should make this fight,because the longer it goes the more it favors Chavez that 11yr age difference wont help him.

This fight turned out basically as I expected. Chavez tries to come in not jabbing or moving his head. His only advantage was his size, which he himself said he had to drop 35 pounds to get to 160!! Martinez just outboxed and out gutted Chavez Jr. Martinez gave Chavez Jr. so many opportunities to make something happen but he didnt, I dont see a rematch going any different, especially since Martinez broke his hand early.

How did Chavez Jr prove that a rematch is warranted and that he can beat Martinez when he had an injured Sergio hurt but couldn't even finish him even though Martinez was still a lil shaky and still was throwing back? Martinez is too much for Chavez Jr.
